Welcome to our February CR meme! This post is our monthly CR meme for everyone, an OOC intro for our New Players and also serves as a place to make some plans for our next event which will go live on February 15th. Below you will see the Event planning form as well as an Event Outline for our upcoming event.

A Royal Audience

• A Royal Forum is being held in Stellari where Seravo himself will appear - Dreamers are encouraged to attend
• There is food and drink, mingling is encouraged
• Seravo announces that he will be returning the powers that Dreamers sacrificed during the November event
• Throughout the month, Dreamers who sacrificed their regained abilities will feel the powers slowly begin to return, and they will have returned fully by the New Moon
• Seravo opens the forum to questions - one question will be allowed per character, with short Servo threads in response; please keep IC questions to IC knowledge

Flower Petal Affliction
cw: disease, blood, body horror

• Dreamers who are withholding something important / hiding a secret will develop a cough and begin to feel sick
• Locals are aware of the disease and warn that it will progress quickly unless the truth is told
• The afflicted feel symptoms such as fever, headache, weakness, difficulty breathing, and a persistent cough which produces flower petals and blood, as roots grow in the lungs
• The disease also causes increased feelings of mistrust for the people around you
• The afflicted WILL die if the disease is not cured, and it can only be cured by confessing the afflicted's hidden truths

Crystal Corruption

• Corrupted clusters of crystal begin appearing in the swamp, where local workers are stationed, tasked with destroying it - Dreamers are asked to help
• Getting close to the corrupted crystal will cause feelings of mistrust to grow between the Dreamers working together, worsening the longer they are exposed
• Dreamers must work in pairs of twos or threes to clear corrupted crystal
• Dreamers will help remove corrupted crystal from the swamp by either crushing clusters, helping snakes who are afflicted with the crystal, skimming the waters for crystal clusters, or removing crystal clusters from trees
• Crystal clusters are collected in small bags that are to be returned in exchange for a small amount of cords (up to three bags)
• Crystal clusters are also appearing in Lumindeas, which Dreamers are also asked to help clear
• Crystal rings (similar to fairy rings) can only be cleared by two Dreamers standing in the middle and telling a truth
• Crystal in the woods can only be cleared without using magic
• Domestic animals are infected with the crystal and must have it cleared, as well as wolves from the woods, which much be healed so they don't spread the parasite
• Those who clear the crystal in town are asked to bring them to a purification dance, where they will be paired up and taught a dance similar to the tango; it increases trust between the partners

Truth & Trust

• The Uweih religion is holding truth & trust exercises at the gold crystal to promote healing from the flower petal disease
• The event has the atmosphere of a festival, with music, food, games, and other pageantry
• Dreamers are encouraged to participate in activities such as trust falls, telephone, two truths & a lie, etc. (there will be a list of activities and directions for how they work)
• Participating in these activities will help Dreamers start to feel better if they are afflicted with the disease, but only if they've addressed the hidden truth that is making them sick

There will be a header comment for all questions aimed at Seravo on the event post. The NPC will be available for one question per player. In order to keep the tag load manageable, the threads may be kept fairly short. Seravo reserves the right to ignore or talk around any question he doesn't want to answer. Only those who attend the Audience can ask questions of Seravo.

All questions/thread starters should be posted before February 18th 11:59pm CST. After the end of February, any threads with the NPC will be considered wrapped.

General Info: He's That Rival Guy who is always grumpy and second place to The Hero. Except he now loves The Hero. It's complicated. He's still competitive and seeking an outlet for that streak, though.

State Of: Well...his brother, his light of his life, and reason for trying to be good disappeared at the beginning of the month. So...he's not doing super Great. He's moved to Lumindeas to escape his old empty house, but can't escape the emptiness in his heart...

CR Desires/RP Wishlist: Basically I want to work on building deeper CR. He needs to confide in more people and start to fill the void in his heart...and cling on and deepen those other bonds he has. It's been rough.

Non-Event Plans: Not much! Just trying to survive.

Event Plans: Definitely getting hit with the Hanahaki Disease. He has...a number of secrets, mostly revolving around fear of what he'll become without Mokuba. So that's a thing. The trust exercises later on will likely also be good for him to grow and bond with others.

Harry Du Bois | Disco Elysium

Character Name: Harry Du Bois
Canon: Disco Elysium
Character Age: 44 45
General Info: Harry is a drunk (though currently trying to stay sober), self-destructive mess who loves people but hates himself. He’s extremely empathetic for the downtrodden, and very, very driven. When he gets an idea in his head, he’s incapable of stopping. Even deliberately wiping all of his memories didn’t make him stop; all it did was show the only thing Harry knows what to do is work.

He’s also the protagonist of his canon, and a good 85% of the dialogue in the game is Harry’s shattered and disconnected thoughts talking to each other. In game, he’s a pseudo-customizable protagonist in that you can choose how he interacts with the world and exactly how much of a hot mess he is for the duration of the game. It’s all Harry, though. Especially the horrifically embarrassing intrusive thoughts you can have him say/do if he fails a skill check. For anyone canon familiar, these are his endgame stats, more or less. For anyone not familiar, the tl;dr is that he spends much of his time lost in his own thoughts, and is as prone to dream logic as he is concrete thinking. He’s also so empathetic he’s liable to burst into tears over your tragic backstory.

State Of: He’s vibing, doing what he can to help the people of Visium, generally being chipper to hide how sad he is inside. He’s been out of his canon for nearly a year, so he’s actually doing all right.

CR Desires/RP Wishlist: Anything!. Friends, enemies, frenemies, the awkward sort who don’t know what to do with each other… the latter is one of my favorites, and Harry is awkward enough this can be easily done. Harry’s made a lot of friends since he first arrived, and he always likes meeting new people. Especially if they need to be as annoyingly helpful as him. Or, alternatively, if they’re grumpy. Then hanging around them is like catnip for Harry.

Non-Event Plans: Nothing beyond him trying to help the people of Visium. He knows they don’t like him (or any dreamers), but he still feels terrible about the situation. Beyond that… I dunno… probably doing quests in the background. If someone wants to do a specific one with him, hit me up!

Event Plans: Harry is absolutely going to be going to asking a Seravo a question, and generally wants to hear what other people are asking him, too. Getting information is very important! He’s an open book, so he’s not going to be affected by the sickness, but he will be deeply concerned if any of his friends start displaying symptoms.

He’ll primarily be interested in clearing the crystals. He’ll mostly be worried about the ones in Visium, but should someone he has CR with ask him to help in Lumindeas, he’ll especially do it for the dancing. Harry loves dancing (not sure he remembers how to tango).

About Me: I'm a big anime and manga fan. From the current season, I'm watching Blue Exorcist, Dr. Stone: Science Future, Link Click, and I'll probably add something else in there. I'm in ET but I work second-shift hours and tend to tag later.

Character Name: Senku Ishigami
Canon: Dr. Stone
Character Age: 19 (but also technically 3,737 after 3718 years turned to stone)
General Info: Senku is a genius/prodigy who knows an absurd amount of information about various branches of science and engineering and can recall these facts easily. If anyone is canon familiar, his canonpoint is Chapter 181, when they've just discovered a pile of [spoilers] in South America. He spent his 3718 years petrified counting the seconds until he broke free of the stone. Because that's a normal thing to be able to do. Science is king to him to the point he can give off mad scientist vibes. He's a good guy overall, but kind of blunt and the opposite of warm and fuzzy. In canon, he devotes himself to rebuilding civilization. Outside of canon, he'll need to find new things to turn his focus to.

State Of: Unfortunately, January just felt like a complete wash for me, and I didn't get a good foothold in the game. I assume Senku has been poking around anywhere and everywhere the whole time, learning what he can.

CR Desires/RP Wishlist: I just want him to talk to more people! Senku needs to learn more about magic, even though it goes against everything his logical brain believes. In general, I like humorous situations and shenanigans.

A desire for myself is to get back to the threads I left hanging, but of course I understand if the reply comes too late to continue.

Non-Event Plans: I don't have any specific plans, although I'd like to get some of Senku's assumed explorations into the world down on "paper."

Event Plans: Since Senku is a pretty straightforward guy, he doesn't have any deep, dark secrets for that portion of the event. I'll focus on Crystal Corruption and Truth & Trust, so he could use some partners to work with/go through trust exercises with. He would have some strange facts to include in Two Truths and a Lie.

Anything else: A promotional item from Jump Festa. (His hair really is constantly like that.)

Character Age: 15ish mentally, physically about 13 in his human morph, physically a juvenile to young adult in hawk form.
General Info: Birdboy, aerial support, a really depressed kid. He's a '90s kid stuck in a bird's body... except here he's stuck as a human. He's kind of touchy due to Trauma and highly suspicious of everyone, especially in person. He's reasonably sure the aliens he's been fighting aren't here but not totally sure.

Housing Plans: Right now he's probably holed up in a loft that no one's taken, but I'm absolutely open to someone taking him in once they get good CR. If someone tries before that he's likely to run away.

Desired CR: Someone to try to take him in (good luck), people who will be gentle with him. People his age(ish) who can help him regain his somewhat ruined childhood. Mentor figures, especially those who know war and trauma.

Monthly Plans: Tobias is absolutely going to be sick. Someone will have to convince him to be honest about his secrets. He's going to be very frustrated. He's not very good at trust - please help him out!

RP Wishlist: Birdboy needs to meet other birds if possible! Other than that, just generally people to help him! I don't have solid plans for him right now so please jump in as you want/can with him!

Anything else: Permissions for Fourth Wall are here, morphing permissions are for later. I'm going with 'assuming he either doesn't know the canon or knows enough to shut up' unless given permission otherwise.

General Info: Roche is probably the worst (best) traffic cop to exist since he's just here for a good time. He's a SOLDIER (essentially just a super-soldier) with an incredible love for motorcycles and a big ol' flair for the dramatics like some sort of theater kid

State Of: BRAND SPANKIN' NEW fresh off the factory floor! He's been adjusting bit by bit since the TDM and knocked back that gold potion like an idiot so he's also dealing with the whole Suddenly Having A Tail thing and all the ups and downs that come with it. As of right now he's staying in a little place next to a gelfling who feeds him in exchange for heavy lifting/house repairs!!

CR Desires/RP Wishlist: I always feel bad saying "anything" but given that he's new, anything. Friends, frenemies, rivals, you name it. He's generally pretty quick to brand people as Potential Friend (esp if they catch his attention some way or another), so it shouldn't be too hard!

Non-Event Plans: Nothing concrete! Generally if something strikes me I'll toss it up/etc!!

Event Plans: Roche doesn't have any big secrets so I don't think he'll be hit with a case of the petal-coughs, HOWEVER he's absolutely going to take advantage of the free food at the forum. I'm also 100% down for crystal shenanigans (and he'll even teach people to dance if they don't know), and I'm also on board with all those little trust building exercises. He won't drop anyone for a trust fall! Probably.

Interests: I'm a welder IRL and I do metal sculptures sometimes when the stars align. Love art in general and doodle a bit when I can! I'm pretty much married to FFXIV at the moment though I love Hollow Knight, Legend of Zelda, dabbled in a little bit of DA: Inquisition, Bloodborne, Forgotten Realms, Pokemon and Hellsing. I usually tag in the afternoons and at night, I work second shift and try not to be on my phone while I'm there.

Character Age: Fucking Old, but he looks like he's in his late twenties, just about thirty.
General Info: Szel's a demon and therefore he is a jackass, I'm sorry. He's catty, petty, bitchy and a know it all, has no emotional regulation, and deals with most of his personal problems by ignoring them entirely until they become too big of a problem to sideline. This doesn't mean he stops ignoring them, it just means he's worse at it.

He's not as evil as he'd like to pretend he is, and more often than not tends to come across as more insecure than anything else. Whether he wants to admit it or not, Szel's quite empathetic, though he's absolutely garbage at using this productively and often struggles to separate his feelings from someone else's. Ask him about almost any subject at all and you might just get a barely restrained wall of dialog about it, please tell him he's very smart and approve highly of this not that he's angling for your validation or anything baka.

State Of: My man just got here and he's a mess, already started a fight with one guy and nearly cried on someone else, it's great. He's doing just great, it's a great time. He definitely doesn't need any help or anything, friends are for losers butifyourealreadyherehewontsayno.

CR Desires/RP Wishlist: Szel's a pretty caustic person, so anyone who hangs around with him needs a certain amount of indefatigable optimism. He gets along great with anyone who lets him indulge in his more petty habits; he's always on the lookout for someone to gossip with and anyone that can banter back and forth with him without getting riled up. I'd be really keen to have him make some friends though, I want to grow his character over time here and set him on a proper redemption arc.

Non-Event Plans: Not yet!

Event Plans: Ideally, I want Szel to be put in a position where he has to help someone. Not because he has no choice but because the only other choice is letting someone die and I want him to be really uncomfortable with that idea. I'd be super game for having him be a later bloomer for the flower petal affliction as well and grapple with the actual fear of death for the first time in his life, if anyone would like to make him cough up a few secrets to save him.

General Info: She's a deadpan snarker protagonist who's cute. I mean what--

Hakuno Kishinami is the main character for the Fate/EXTRA series. She's the Master of Nero, Nameless, Tamamo, and Gilgamesh, as well as other Servants. She is an NPC that gains self-awareness and has no memories of herself. She's canonically BLAND, yet somehow is ranked the 3rd prettiest in her class ( as said by Nasu and Wada ). Her main thing is that she never gives up. Hakuno Kishinami is as normal as you're going to get.

Only 2 strong traits about her that makes her stand out from being normal: Refuse to Give up and Desire to Live.

She is completely normal. She's also probably way too manly.

State Of:

Hakuno went through it at the end of January, but she's okay now. She got emotional support, and now she's gonna live in a nice little house with the guy she killed/watch die in the past, but that's in the past! She has just been vibing. Floating around and living life day by day.

She also just got her Regalia back which is a shape in a ring! It's basically an iPhone but on the ring. Hakuno now has the power of Google Search by her side!


CR Desires/RP Wishlist: I YOLO EVERYTHING!!! I am open for any type of CR. The more friends, the better!

Also. I NEED MORE GIRL FRIENDS FOR HAKUNO! I ONLY GOT LIKE 3 GIRLIES FOR HAKUNO AND THE REST ARE GUYS??? That's it.

She's single ( for now ) and plans on staying single. Hakuno is like clay; she can adjust/mold around to anybody.

Non-Event Plans: Outside of the event, I plan on making Hakuno go around and give chocolates to CR she knows. All friendship chocolate.

Character Name: Akira Kurusu
Canon: Persona 5 Strikers
Character Age: 18
General Info: Akira is the protagonist of the Persona 5 series! he can be tricky to get a read on, because he's someone that wears too many masks to count. he's what people need him to be, or shifts himself to whatever's needed to reach his goal. though perfectly friendly and polite to strangers, thanks to the false charges pressed against him it can be difficult to earn enough trust for him to open up and share anything real. once you do, though, Akira will be unfailingly loyal and with you for the long haul.

Akira hates injustice more than anything else, especially people abusing their money or power to get what they want. if it was something that he was capable of ignoring, he never would've ended up on probation in Tokyo, but looking the other way is just something he can't do. his own strict moral code demanded justice so much that he kind of unlocked supernatural powers and started a vigilante group to take down corrupt people in power. Akira keeps pretty quiet about it, so it's probably not anything important ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

some other quick beats include - he loves cats, is a great listener, often makes terrible puns or word play jokes, is an honors student, can sometimes just be a little bit too morally gray, and is great at making both coffee and curry. your everyday standup young man that lives a totally normal life who definitely doesn't steal hearts or summon a demon gentleman thief.

State Of: so much has happened to him since the last time i did this, i don't even know where to begin 😂 the best tl;dr i can give: for people he hasn't met yet or hasn't deepened his relationships with enough, it'll still be business as usual, with all of his perfectly polite masks in place, maybe with just little bits of mischief depending on who you are. for closer cr + the ones who've had A Moment (you know who you are), you'll notice that his behaviors are settling into something more solid. less fluid, less static. this is because Akira is shifting more into acting as himself, thanks to several important promises and a reminder of who he is and what he's meant to do. the latter means he will be keeping a far closer eye on plot developments than he already was, but it may or may not become apparent to other people just yet.

also - if your character has tried to contact him from the 2nd to the ~9th (guesstimation), well. he just got in a little fight <3 it was just a little accident <3 he'll be back on his feet and totally fine (?) by the time the event rolls around. don't worry about it. (if i have the time/bandwidth, i will play around with this for a few folks :3)

CR Desires/RP Wishlist: i hate saying everything but it really is just everything fsdljkfsdljk cries... all of Akira's canon friends are weird so i'd love for him to eventually have a bunch of wacky friends here, too... part of his whole Thing is matching to what another person needs him to be + masking accordingly, so he. really does work with almost anybody, lol. what he's always thinking of is how somebody can help him and - prioritized a lot higher - what Akira can do for somebody else. what's harder is getting him to have genuine bonds of trust and friendship; he'll always be courteous, probably even if someone doesn't show him the same, but getting him to trust and genuinely open up to another person is a slow-burn no matter what. it's a slow burn that i love, though, so if you want to jump on that ride with him let's work towards it :'D

addendum 1: i absolutely love and adore neg cr. however it's extremely difficult to get neg cr with Akira because it's hard to bother him unless your chara is like. somebody in authority abusing their power and making life terrible for others. i suffer 😭 it's definitely still doable, just takes more work, so if you want to angle for that let me know and we can try to plot something for now or later!!

addendum 2: if your chara has very close cr with Akechi or Maruki, i'd love for Akira to meet them! he and Akechi have a lot of [spoilers redacted], and Maruki is an It's Complicated But Treasured - for different reasons, both of them are important to him, and I'd love for him to have cr in-laws! let's have those important chats.

Non-Event Plans: my non-event plans are wrapping up what i currently have, since i have stuff that's still going from... november LOL help me. i have a couple of things i'd like to backdate and/or just start in the present-ish as soon as i have time to touch on them, which are primarily continuations of things that came up during sleepr.

Event Plans: as i've mentioned on plurk, i'm moving more into doing closed logs/closed toplevels because i try to have a limited number of active threads and it's just a lot easier for me to manage! i'm way over my thread limit, which is supposed to be... six... so i will probably be Late to getting anything going (i apologize!!!), but reach out to me if you have something special in mind and i'll stamp the dance card for you 🙏

Now he's a shadow of his human past wrapped inside a dangerous magical energy that tied to his soul. He still looks human, aside from glowing eyes that look like there is a piece of wind trapped inside them, but his form is an echo of his humanity crafted from his memories. He clings to his human side and pretends to be a normal person who simply uses magic, instead of revealing how deeply his magic is tied to his entire being. His dangerous magic is indirectly responsible from the destruction of his world and he hides his sins and many insecurities behind a friendly smile and love for life.

State Of: Arrakis has been here since the beginning and he has seen too many friends come and go. He normally hides his loneliness behind a friendly mask but that has been harder to keep up after what happened with Vaeros and the hostility in Somnius bringing back painful memories. He's mostly been recovering and trying to make the most of losing his magic by enjoying being human again. Exploring Lumindeas is a good distraction, although he's a bit wary of the new land.

CR Desires/RP Wishlist: Arrakis thrives off of his connections with others and I welcome all CR! Positive, negative. it's complicated, all of it! I love to see how my characters grow with unexpected CR so I try not to limit his options.

He comes across as a charming ball of sunshine, but even the brightest light casts a shadow. His shadow is very deep and there is a lot hidden underneath his friendly smile, which I would love to play with more. Arrakis closely guards his secrets however so it's a slow process to get him to show his true colors.

My main goal for Arrakis if for him to be able to accept all of himself, his darkness, his magic, and realizing that his kindness is a genuine part of him too and not just a way to manipulate others into liking him, so I want to start challenging the friendly image he's created here.

His magic is too powerful for a human to carry so the process will slowly turn him back into a mage. It's a painful process where he's slowly poisoned by his magic until his human body dies and is reshaped as a vessel for his magic. He suffered through the process alone last time he regained his magic because he wasn't close enough to anyone to share his secret yet. This time he has people he can turn to so it could be a good opportunity for some hurt/comfort threads with his close CR. Normally it would take him a month to recover but I don't want to have him out of the loop that long so I'm thinking of making it one or two weeks towards the end of the month instead.

Event Plans:

A Royal Audience - Arrakis regrets the lack of communication between Vaeros and the dreamers and he's very curious about Seravo

Flower Petal Affliction - oh boy, Arrakis's first death in Lab was with a hanahaki event so he's going to hate seeing it return. Maybe he's learned from his mistakes though since he will reluctantly be very truthful throughout the event, rather than take the truth to the grave again. He will start with small truths and slowly work up towards the deeper secrets with those he trusts, albeit reluctantly and he his resentful side will probably show more. They're supposed to be truthful right?

Crystal Corruption - corrupted crystals sounds fun! And it could be fun way to hint at the deep distrust Arrakis hides behind his friendly smile.

Truth & Trust - Arrakis harbors a lot of mistrust towards people but he tries his best not to act on it and is very good at hiding it. As such, he will not outright fail any of the trust and truth games, but a keen observer might notice he's not as relaxed as he appears. I also might have Arrakis sing at the event, without his disguise as a Draco to add another truth that might save him from the flowers. In general he's going to be very spitefully honest this event.

Anything else: If your character likes animals, Arrakis can turn into a gryphon, the size of a warhorse, a tiny dragon with dragonfly wings and another much smaller gryphon form the size of a house cat, which is tied to a secret about his magic. Enjoy!

General Info:

Shinjiro's a teenager who's had a rough go of things. He accidentally got someone killed once and literally could not cope; he dropped out of school, became homeless, and started making deals for sketchy drugs to suppress his Persona so it could never happen again. He's extremely depressed and withdrawn and has basically stopped living his life for the last couple of years, passively suicidal at best. Still, he has a few remaining comforts--he loves dogs, and he enjoys cooking. He also, despite himself, really cares about everyone around him and is kind of a huge mother hen.

One point of note is that Shinjiro's character arc deals with themes of depression and suicidal ideation and behavior, specifically connected to his powers and a person he accidentally killed a couple years ago. He's a very private person in general and heavily reluctant to discuss the topic in particular, so it's unlikely to be relevant in most threads, but it might come up in bracket text or in his overall attitude toward himself. Please let me know if you'd like me to avoid these topics in threading with him, and I'll skirt around them as much as possible. ♥

State Of: Shinji's kind of in a complicated spot right now as he's starting to settle into the game. He's still struggling with a bit of an existential crisis about being alive while simultaneously holding onto the tiniest fragment of hope that the wish-granting might be real and worth hanging on for long enough to see through. The dissonance Vaeros' funeral and the vague snippets of context he got there with the Sleepr app filling itself out on his phone really messed with him a bit; nothing quite feels real or meaningful in Somnius/Lumindeas and part of him is still suspicious he's been dragged out from his grave simply to become a cosmic chew toy for a bored god .... on the other hand, the past month or so has been one of his least stressful in years because his persona is NERFED and he can unclench for once. He made some spicy food at the concept and is slowly building a couple of acquaintanceships which will likely become friendships against his will soon enough. He slept in a goddamn bed and was comfortable about it, shut up everyone its NO BIG DEAL UGH. tldr it was the best of times it was the worst of times, there are two wolves, etc.

Characters that Shinjiro can be a sort of big brother figure to! Ohhhh Shinji is going to be so sick this event. He'll be so, so, so sick. I think he is not going to die but it will be a near thing tbh since he barely knows anyone yet, he's going to push it until he's genuinely struggling to breathe or move. On the other hand, he WILL fuss and mother hen over other sick people while he's still in the earlier stages, which I think could be really cute and fun. Very into some mutual h/c caretaking! Shinji might even make some soup if someone else is struggling real bad.

General Info: Zelda is the princess of Hyrule, where bad things happen on a cyclical basis every few thousand years or so. She loves researching ancient technology and ancient history, because she is an absolute nerd at heart. However, life and duty got in the way, and instead she had to fight a monster incarnation of malice for 100 years alone until her knight finally came to help out. Huge bummer. For a while after that things were great and she got to focus on rebuilding the kingdom and actually enjoying her life. But unfortunately when she went looking underground for mysteries she found a horrifying mummy instead and got warped 10,000 years back into the past to fight a different war -- bummer x2.

Zelda is kind-hearted and genuinely loves to help others. She can be headstrong and stubborn at times, and definitely gets very into research and tech. Despite all her hardships, she mostly thinks about how best to help her friends and her kingdom.

Zelda is taken from Memory #18 in Tears of the Kingdom, which is the final one. THIS WILL BE RELEVANT FOR THIS EVENT, SPOILERS AHEAD.

So uh, he's the normal mode final boss of P4. Killed two people out of misplaced anger, jealousy, and loneliness and his feelings about it were so intense a god let him be an attempted harbinger of the apocalypse. Everything would be great if we turned into thoughtless shadow blobs, wouldn't it? Adachi sure seems to think so.

But he got his ass soundly whooped by the protagonist so he's agreed to play nice and not try that again, or to kill anyone in general, so now he's just Nihilism Man. You're worthless, he's worthless, and he's a-okay spending the rest of his days moping about it...except Laby probably won't let him, he'll be forced into action, but he's gonna be so loud when complaining about it!! This sucks!!! Stop kidnapping him and let him sulk, geez!

State Of: Saelfen is still coming to terms with what happened here with Vaeros' death. He isn't sure how to process that, especially since he was working on a way to reclaim his powers and fight Vaeros for control of Somnius. However, that strategy failed several times owing to various distractions, including Taryon. In addition, he is hesitant to make significant changes in this situation. That, along with the fact that he has yet to gain all of his magic, prevents him from even attempting to battle Vaeros before.

As a result, Saelfen has been reconnecting with old friends while also befriending some newcomers. He nearly feels compelled to warn and "mentor" some of the newcomers that visit Somnius for the first time. It's a unique situation for Saelfen, especially given that he isn't the nicest elf.

However, he goes out of his way to assist others. Furthermore, perhaps the sudden removal of "another" has inspired him to step up in her stead. However, Saelfen will do his best not to be a nuisance.

CR Desires/RP Wishlist: I'm seeking more positive cr this time around. This isn't saying I won't respond to or welcome negative CR, but I really just desire genuine friendships and more positive relationships for Saelfen currently. Additionally, I really want Saelfen to meet someone he could possibly mentor in a sense. Someone he could take under his wing and teach them how to create dolls and prosthetic limbs as he does. I think it would be a rather cute little sideplot.

Non-Event Plans: Saelfen is also looking for a few people to assist him in developing a better body for Sapphyra, his treasured automaton/doll. Saelfen will be rather busy this month, especially since he has taken on a commission to make prosthetic limbs for someone. So he's been quite busy lately.

A Royal Audience

Saelfen will be attending the royal forum held in Stellari, come hell or highwater.

He wants to get a good understanding of Seravo, ie. sizing him up.

Saelfen will be available to mingle here and there, so this will be the perfect time for him to meet up with the handful of newcomers he met so far.

Saelfen will be asking a question during the forum, I'm just trying to figure out what he'll ask.

The fact that Sevaro is returning the powers of the Dreamers who bravely sacrificed their own will ultimately surprises him and makes him think favorably of Seravo. He also might have to apologize to those he deemed as "idiots" prior for performing that sacrifice.

Flower Petal Affliction

Saelfen will be getting sick with this strange new affliction. It will worsen to a point of near death, knowing him. However, I have no plans on killing him.

I really want to play on that feeling of "mistrust" that will brew the longer Saelfen holds onto his secrets. Saelfen is stubbornly prideful at times, and that pride will be his bane here.

As to the truth he must reveal about himself, it will be that he views himself as "a coward" who possesses delusions of grandeur despite literally running away from home because he couldn't handle the sneers and jeers.

I'm also willing to plot out Saelfen attempting to help others who fall ill with this strange new disease. Just plot with me here or send me a DM.

State Of: He's been spending a lot of time checking out the new city and investigating where he can, though he still resides back in his hill house by the original village.

CR Desires/RP Wishlist: I'm open to both positive and negative CR for Gumshoe (as long as it's not just negativity for negativity's sake). Friends, rivals, possibly found family or romance with the right build-up (only fellow adults and leaning m/f for romance but I'm also ready to go with the flow of how CR develops). Fellow detectives and law types or anyone to investigate things with, possible drinking and/or workout buddies. He also practices art sometimes, including trying to make sculptures out of rocks with his earth magic, so that could be another avenue for CR. Plenty of CR possibilities - he can dote on others (whether that's wholly wanted or not), and also open to CR with characters who would be annoyed by him or who would annoy/troll him.

Non-Event Plans: Nothing currently, but I'm open to non-event interactions if people want!

Event Plans: Gumshoe doesn't really have any secrets going on, so he won't suffer from the flower disease, but he will help others through it, having witnessed it in the past. He will be available for pretty much everything else too - clearing out the crystals could be fun for playing around with mistrust. The purification dance could be fun, and he'll definitely attend the festival and take part in those friendship exercises!

I've brought him in at a more updated canonpoint this time (he's post series, actually), so he's here sporting a fresh sense of confidence and a level of god he's so fucking tired that's 200% greater than before.

CR Desires/RP Wishlist: God I'm always so bad at this part. TBH I don't have any strong arc plans in place for him, I've brought him back to vibe and have him be an observer/hopefully positive influence in other people's arcs! Is that boring of me to say? Maybe! Idk.

Honestly, friends are most ideal. I love cross-canon friendships. Challenge him, make him learn new things about the world and the multiverse! I'm also kind of into the idea of people who inexplicably find him irritating, bc for some reason he tends to draw that kind of aggro even though he's literally just a guy, and I think that's funny.

Non-Event Plans: Right off the bat I'm probably going to have him hit the network (his nemesis, he's grandpa) asking if anyone needs a roommate. Because the last time he was here he had two cast-mates, and living alone fucking sucks! Part of me wants to be really mean and have a repeat performance with the flower sickness orz. At least he will be willing to tell the Doctor the truth he took to his grave last time! He would never want to put the Doctor through that again, and he has been very careful to keep that particular memory from the last time the Doctor was here a secret.

However if you don't want something too similar then crystal cleanup could be fun too. Arrakis will also be getting his magic back but it's a slow and painful process so he'll likely still be mostly human for that, maybe with some symptoms that his magic is slowly poisoning him. It's normal.

People have been trying to poison kidnap and assassinate him since he was very small mostly for family politics reasons and he copes with this via turbo repression, toxic positivity, and just assuming he can trust everyone because the alternative would be assuming he could trust no one and that would be a bummer. He really loves music and dancing and parties. And helping. But he's bad at that one

State Of: Since the household he shares with Malleus, Lilia, Jamil and Elan has relocated to Lumindeas he's been really enjoying the city! He's a big fan of browsing shops and market stalls, trying new food (as long as someone else tastes some of it first), and watching all kinds of shows and performances. He's doing his best not to make Jamil mad, though, which means not doing anything too dangerous or spending too much money on frivolous nonsense -- at least, that's the goal! Kalim is super impulsive so sometimes he fails at this. He got his magic back recently but he's not an incredible mage or anything....

CR Desires/RP Wishlist: Kalim tries to get along with everyone he meets and is willing to extend the benefit of the doubt a really long way even if you are a total shithead. You can get away with being pretty mean to him without it really bothering him. I think it would be fun to see how far that can get pushed before he gets seriously mad. NICE PEOPLE ALSO WELCOME OFC but he is really annoying so <3

How about someone who is also annoyingly nice, and also represses a ton of resentment and distrust because of the family politics of being the unwanted sixth son of a noble family (among other things), but he also has a really mean streak that tends comes out the closer he gets to someone because of his fear of rejection? Trying to push someone away is how he reassures himself they truly care about him, no matter how awful he gets.

I think there a lot of fun possibilities with these two. Arrakis also loves music and a street performance sounds great!
