For new players, welcome to the game! And for current players, thanks for sticking around! This post will act as an ooc intro for new players, a CR meme for everyone, and a place to make some plans for our next event which will go live on December 12th.

Below you will also see the CR meme form + the Special Event in all of its entirety plus something else extra special... You may use this to plot out the rest of your month!

A MULTITUDE OF GUESTS.

You could be going through a door into your house, or going through a door into an establishment... it doesn't matter, as long as you are going through a door. On the other side, every single character will find that they are in a place they never have been to before-- a place that is otherwise forbidden. It starts off as a confusing maze, and here is where characters will find themselves brushing shoulders with one another. Staircases will lead up the walls, down the walls, all over-- even if someone becomes upside down, they will not fall. Something about this building is very magical. Find your companions and discover a way out!

Some people take a long time to get out of this maze room, but other people will find the exit right away. The exit is never the same, but it will lead to the same ending, a long, stretching hallway lit by torches. Characters will realize they are in a castle, but not just any castle, they are in Vaeros' Castle. Through the door at the end of the hallway, they will see they are in a massive dining hall with a long, stretched table, all just for them. No matter how many people are here, there's plenty of room for everyone! On the table, characters will find all of their favorite foods, even those that are only found in their world. For example, if someone likes modern food like instant ramen, it'll be there! Old, rare food from medieval times? Also there! Dreamers will get their fill and while they are eating, they will feel a strange happiness fall over them. They will feel comfortable. Happy. Even the saddest characters, they will be caught smiling. It's a wonderful time to fellowship with one another and maybe even meet Dreamers you never have before.

THE FACE BEHIND THE MASK.

Once Dreamers are full, they will see under their plate an invitation with their name on it written in gold lettering. Opening the envelope, they will see this writing:

Cheers and Merry New Year, Another successful year we honor the Moon for bringing life onto Visium, A celebration waits for you next door.

Next door, the large double doors on the opposite end of the giant dining room, a masquerade party is going on over there. While it seems the ballroom is full of people, they are but mirages and not actually there. Dreamers will NOT be able to tell the difference. They will talk and seem solid as the townsfolk down past the labyrinth in Somnius.

Once Dreamers step into the ballroom to dance, they will magically be wearing their attire and mask. The mask and outfit can be anything, but Dreamers will realize that some of the masks give Dreamers personality & physical traits of what they are wearing. For example, is that a fox mask? You may start feeling more sly and sprout a long furry tail! This effect will end after the masquerade or last until January 1st. It is up to the player.

The evening will continue with dancing and laughing... but no signs of Vaeros, the host seem to be found.

A SENTIMENTAL MOOD.

Sprinkled throughout the ballroom among pillars and arched doorways that only really seem to lead to corridors that head back to the ballroom itself, are little sprigs of mistletoe. Not every place these pesky plants are located are conventional, their locations are sometimes quite sneaky instead. Pairs caught within a 2-meter radius will find that they're trapped in an invisible bubble unable to leave the area until they've exchanged a kiss with the person they're trapped with. The kind of kiss is up to player's wishes, but are expected to be age-appropriate. Luckily with the crowd and everything else going on, perhaps these kisses could be kept private. But nothing is guaranteed...

From the ballroom where crowds of people both real and mirage mingle and dance the night away, several rounded doorways lead out to a stone balcony that overlooks the night beyond Vaeros' castle. Gentle candlelight dances from magical sources to give the balcony warm, dim lighting, the mood delightfully intimate. There's a sweet scent in the air, a comfortable warm feeling surrounding the balcony that seems large enough for pairs to maintain privacy. Even a set of stairs winds slowly down to leafy gardens, lit and warmed similarly. The din of the party back inside stays quiet and distant, keeping the atmosphere inviting.

Those who venture out onto the balcony or even further into the gardens with its stone benches and private alcoves will feel compelled to confess something to their companion. The type of confession can vary from the classic romantic confession to something more platonic. Childhood friends might find themselves confessing ancient secrets, while newly acquainted companions might find themselves confessing something private to their new friend as if to get it off of their chest.

A MYSTERIOUS MESSAGE.

The masquerade will continue forth late into the night. Dreamers are under a spell, it seems, and they carry no interest in exploring the castle or looking for Vaeros. In fact, they begin to forget about him as soon as they begin eating the feast and even more so when the ballroom dancing occurs. Come about 3 AM, Dreamers leave the castle, and they end up in the Enchanted Garden. This is an opportunity to relax and stargaze and not rush or hurry along. The spell, which is slowly removing hostile feelings towards Vaeros, does not seem to subside. Dreamers are happy here. Maybe they don't even want to leave.

Whether Dreamers sleep the rest of the night in the garden or they find their way back home to Somnius, another message and vision in the dream will occur. They will see a large, golden dragon trapped in a dark and desolate place. He seems to be pleading, but finally his message comes through:

"Don't give in! You are being tricked! Heed my warning now, focus hard on how much you do not want this! Think of your home from whence you came, and the world that is yours... and if you manage to break this spell, I am begging you... I need your help."

While some Dreamers may break the spell easily by thinking fondly of their home, others may not, but the dragon's interruption is enough to eventually return the Dreamers' state of mind back to normal. Characters may develop amensia, forgetting where they came from and who they are temporarily -- it is up to other Dreamers to remind them of the world they came from and the people they love! Once again, it seems a dragon is in trouble. But where is he? How did he end up in that dark and scary place? Maybe he will use magic again in the future to send another message that is more helpful..

OOC NOTES

Happy Holidays! This month we have Secret Santa signups. This is an OOC signup only. Please do not sign your character up if they will not ICly participate, since this can leave dreamers who would participate out of half of the fun. We are not compelling participation in this event! Secret Santa Signups will close on December 15th 9am CST and pairings will be sent out by December 18th.

During the day of the 18th, dreamers will receive a letter telling them that they have been assigned to be another's secret Santa. These letters will arrive by white barn owl, no matter where the character happens to be. It will be up to the dreamer to deliver their gift to their giftee before the beginning of the new year.

1. if a character comes already wearing a mask, will it be swapped with an event one, will their own mask be bewitched, or will they be unaffected?

2. because of that whole preexisting mask situation...for the dinner portion, if someone were to pocket their food instead, I imagine they wouldn't be affected by the mood boost, but would finding the invitation, etc. etc. still apply to them? Would the food remain in their pocket until eaten?

SECRET SANTA SIGNUPS

If you would like to sign up your character for Secret Santa, please fill out the form here, once per character. Players will have the option to opt-out of being matched with certain players if necessary, and these requests will be kept confidential.

Sign ups are OOC, not IC. Characters will not know they are signing up/being signed up against their will. There is no compulsion mechanic involved, so if your character is not going to follow through with delivering a gift, please don't sign them up.

ICly, players will receive a letter from an owl with the name of their gift-ee and instructions to deliver a gift to them by the end of the month. No further information will be given, so it will be up to characters to research their gift-ee and figure out what sort of gift they might like. OOCly, you will receive a message with the name of your gift-ee and a link to their IC inbox.

Deadline for sign-ups is December 15th. Pairings will be sent out by December 18th.

General Info: Stoic and deadpan until someone she cares about is in danger or she's pissed, Mikasa is a descendent of both an Asian family and the Ackerman clan, giving her some special abilities. She's insanely strong, can resist memory manipulation and is overall a Badass Lady. She's also reeling from the events of canon and trying her best to deal with a bunch of grief and trauma.

Housing Plans: She is living in a cottage with Eren and Jean

Desired CR:

• People she can fight with.
• Anyone who needs help reigning in Eren will find her particularly useful!
• She can be quite standoffish and rude with people she doesn't know/like, so a possibility for negative CR.
• Girl friends! Her closest female friend was taken from her, and she definitely needs a little feminine influence here and there.
• Literally anything else!

Initial Plans: She probably won't get a job any time soon, but she might end up trying to peek into physical labour, since she's good at that (and is aiming to get her strength back asap).

Intense Event Plans:

• She'll attend the masquerade and will have some kind of raven or birdlike mask, probably, so watch out for her being a little more keen-eyed than usual.
• I'm down for playing around with some mistletoe, though she will absolutely not be thrilled.
• Also here for playing with confessions - Mikasa has a lot to get off her chest, and there might be some things that she won't say otherwise. It might be a good way to get some CR with her, since she might not necessarily be super social otherwise.
• I might be up for experimenting with some amnesia, or Mikasa supporting people who understand the suspicious message a little more than she does.

Vash the Stampede // Trigun Stampede

Character Name: Vash the Stampede
Canon: Trigun Stampede
Character Age: 150+
General Info: Vash is a genetically engineered interdimensional alien with a pacifist streak and a love for humans. He's got a huge guilt complex and is absolutely riddled with self hate. Vash is kind hearted, loves kids, and generally just a good dude. He's got a little bit of a Jesus complex, but he's working on it. Vash is "native" to a desert planet that shouldn't be able to support human life. A lot of experiences here have been new for him, like lakes and going fishing. He's adjusting well. We ignore the fact that he's got a huge bounty on his head back home because it doesn't count her.

Housing Plans: Vash currently lives in a Castle with Wolfwood, Knives, Meryl, and Cain. He's going to try really, REALLY hard to get Livio to move in with them but that remains to be seen. He's kind of the type to pick up strays, so if you want CR with him, and your character needs a place to stay so they aren't alone, talk to me and maybe we can fit them in.

☾ Mistletoe Shenanigans. Do you want to be stuck awkwardly beneath a parasitic plant with a gangly plant? He's your guy. I'm willing to get vash stuck underneath these multiple times. Whatever kind of lip locking or non lip locking you wanna do is fine by me. Let's start off CR real awkwardly.
☾ Vash will be going out to the balcony and gardens, as he almost always gets a little overwhelmed at parties. I'm open to a couple of scenarios with people, though I mainly want to stray from anything romantic unless we've got CR or plans already.
☾ Vash is going to show up with a cat mask so he may be feeling more mischevious, affectionate, and overall a little more willing to talk and open up to people he doesn't know well. For a guy who is pretty tight lipped about himself, this might be an interesting interaction.
☾ Open to Mysterious Message interactions, and silly things with food. Want a mini food fight? Sure, why not.

General Info: Eren has all the makings of a plucky shonen protag with none of the scruples. At this age, he's scrappy and headstrong, hell bent on defeating his enemies and saving humanity; however, he will go to immoral lengths to achieve this. His biggest motivations are freedom and revenge, and while he might appear to be a nice kid at times, he's got a lot of sinister shit going on underneath.

Housing Plans: Eren is living in a cottage with Jean Kirstein and Mikasa Ackerman.

Desired CR: Any and all!

Initial Plans: Eren has two goals that he's latched onto as of right now:
1. Captain Levi has ordered him to make friends
2. He has decided that he has no more freedom here than he does back home, so he wants to rebel against Vaeros - quite literally kill him (this will surely go well); which means lots of training/trying to get stronger, and saving shards to buy his powers back

Intense Event Plans: Eren will be attending the masquerade. I plan to have TLs for each portion of the event. I haven't decided on what his attire will be yet, but he will definitely be there (and will end up being greatly disturbed that he was in Vaeros' castle but remained complaisant under his spell). I definitely want to make sure he received the mysterious message, as it only spurs him further toward his goal of defeating Vaeros / finding a way back home to save humanity, etc.. Due to this, I will probably have him lose his memory as part of the event.

He will also be participating in secret santa!

RP Wishlist: Right now I am looking for any and all CR for Eren! Characters who reflect his personality or reflect the opposite are of particular interest to me, but I am truly just excited to build any CR that I can. I think once we start threading we can see if there's anything particular we want to do! He has an intro post on the network right now, and I'll be making a TL for the event when the time comes.

Princess Eilonwy of Llyr | Disney's The Black Cauldron

Canon: Disney's The Black Cauldron
Character Age: 12
General Info: A headstrong princess who was kidnapped to help an evil king find a MacGuffin. She escaped, found new friends and the group as a whole saved their homeland. She's from the Disney filtered version of 14th century Fantasy Wales, knows about magic, knows her way with swords and weapons and can and will flip the switch to be feisty if need be. For the most part though she's polite.

Housing Plans: Still living by herself in a cottage, if you think you hear her doing hand crafts, no you don't.

Desired CR: I'm up for almost anything! She's been talking with more adults in her social circle and it feels kind of familiar because she's a whole princess in charge of maintaining kingdom relationships.

Initial Plans: Eilonwy's going Through It this month because she's worrying about Prydain getting through the season with minimal loss. She's brought this up in brief passing in the last TDM, but she won't dwell on it going forward. She might be a bit quieter than normal or just taking notes if her CR needs anything.

Intense Event Plans:

• Eilonwy's attending the masquerade and wearing a Deer mask, which will actually make her more open to exploring. (The whole "be aware of surroundings and ready to run the hell out" aspect coming in here). She's going to enjoy the food, she's going to dance, feel free to come say hello or dance with her.

• But not the confessions- hers will probably be a mix of admitting how much she misses her friends, some self doubt that she's been ignoring for a while, and mentioning Taran because she's new to the whole "Oh I'm in love, and I really care deeply for this specific person" part of life.

since his CRAU game, he's gone through a lot and is a lot less brash and easily incited than he was before, but he can still be pretty volatile if it comes to his missing sister and the man he blames for her downfall. he looks like an oni now, sort of, because of the nature of the last game.

Housing Plans: a hill house. looking for roomies, tho!

Desired CR: friends, mostly. people he can commiserate with, fellow rappers/performers/musicians, fellow demons or possessed people, siblings with complicated relationships with their sibs, etc.!

Initial Plans: he needs a job, honestly, but he was a high up yakuza in his home world, so ... that's a bit of a struggle internally.

Intense Event Plans: samatoki will be attending; he has a bit of a negative experience with food that has scared him off of eating freely like that unless he's prepared it himself or watched someone who has prepared it, but he can probably let loose if he sees others enjoying themselves.

he's not really a dancing type, but with a kitsune mask, he'll feel more like doing so. i'm open to mistletoe with characters 18+ and balcony scenes for sure. with the last prompt, he'll be pretty freaked out. hits a bit too close to things that happened in his last game.

Tantai Jin | Till The End Of The Moon

Character Name: Tantai Jin/Devil God
Canon: Till The End Of The Moon
Character Age: Tantai Jin is 500+; the Devil God is 10,000+.
General Info: He is a tragic character born as the Devil Fetus. After learning of his fate/destiny, he tried to avoid becoming the Devil God (because he fell in love and found a good reason to fight for the world). Unfortunately he has now merged with the original Devil God, but surprisingly he has kept his consciousness as Tantai Jin. Life is trippy.

Housing Plans: He lives in a cute treehouse that he is fixing up bit by bit (with help). The abode will remain humble - a reflection of Tantai Jin's tastes rather than the Devil God's.

Desired CR: He needs good people around him - people who are warm and could possibly accept him. His life as a mortal man was rough to say the least. He was horribly bullied (and abused) as a child and that continued well into his adulthood. Even his relationship with his wife is complicated and painful considering her hatred for the Devil God. Basically, he just needs friends. Teach him the good parts of the world. Any world. Each positive encounter gives him a reason to fight.

Initial Plans: Tantai Jin will probably get a job. He could be a teacher. Ancient Chinese skills are difficult to find, surely?

Intense Event Plans: Will your character attend the masquerade? With what masque? Are they going to make a confession or play with mistletoe? And what are their thoughts on the secret message?

He will attend the masque - in dramatic fashion, probably. His curiosity will bring him there. Dragon mask ftw? He might make a confession - I can't see him willingly participating in the mistletoe (his wife is the only one he wants to kiss).

The secret message will disturb him and he will do his utmost to not forget. How could he? If he notices others forgetting, he will do what he can to encourage them to remember. Their homes have value and no spell should take that from them.

He will also worry about the dragon. He has encountered at least one dragon before and that creature was special to him.

RP Wishlist: Bringing Tantai Jin more to the forefront interests me. The Devil God is all-power, but Tantai Jin has a good heart, though he has a lot of healing to do.

Character Name: Aziraphale
Canon: Good Omens
Character Age: Older than time itself. No, literally, he was created before the universe was made. He helped create the universe.
General Info: Aziraphale is an angel who's been on earth for basically all of human history (the Good Omens universe which is based on the Bible, started a little over six thousand years ago in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve), and he and his best friend/hereditary enemy, the demon Crowley, decided that they liked it too much to let it be destroyed in the planned Apocalypse. So they bumbled their way into helping save the universe. Yay!

Aziraphale is an eccentric sort, nice enough, can be a bit bitchy/prissy when he wants to be, book smart but has low emotional intelligence, and is "just enough of a bastard to be worth knowing".

Housing Plans: Currently rooming with Crowley and trying not to think about the fact that he is platonically sharing a bed with the being he might actually be in love with, and who kissed him last time they saw each other - but of course the Crowley here doesn't remember that because he's from an earlier canon point! It's a mess. But yes, currently, Castle Wayfarer is his home base.

Desired CR: He's quite new, so I'm here for just about anything! Let's throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks, shall we? He's generally friendly and genial, though if he doesn't like someone he'll be really obvious about it. If your character has CR with Crowley, in particular, let's have them meet!

Initial Plans: He'll probably mope around a bit and drink a lot of tea at first. Maybe try to do some good deeds, and give some holiday gifts.

Intense Event Plans: I'll almost certainly throw him at the event, no particular plans but if you want to run into a somewhat gluttonous angel, let's talk about it! His favorite food is, uh… food. But I might toss some enormous ox ribs on the banquet table just for nostalgia’s sake. I can have him get caught under some mistletoe, though he’s really not the kissing sort (unless maybe you’re Crowley) so happy to do some really awkward cheek kisses! Also very down for some weirdly personal confessions!

RP Wishlist: Right now Aziraphale is just keeping a lot of things close to his chest, even from Crowley, so I'm hoping to find some opportunities to draw things out of him. Let's see what he may confess!

Elf turned Dryad by wild circumstances and Archfey magics. Spent almost two years in ainmhian where she learned to love herself a little more, explored her sexuality, and became inclined to just kind of do whatever she wants while away from her home and her duty to the forest. Flirty, wild in appearance, and overall here for a good time.

Housing Plans: She lives in the courtyard of Castle Emberglow with a bunch of weirdos.

Desired CR:
I never have anything specific to put here because I wing everything, but generally open to whatever. I'm not afraid of negative CR so if for some reason you think your character wouldn't get along with the hippie dryad who gives people free drugs and cries a lot about some boy she knows, or just want to test the waters, I'm down for that as much as I'm down for more friends and people for her to just hang out and chill with.

Also, she is a nasty flirt so. People she can flirt with.

Intense Event Plans:
🍂 Night Sky comes equipped with antlers already, so she will be going as a deer to the masquerade. I already have her dress and mask ready because I am always ready for a masquerade event.

General Info: Kaiba is an inventor and owner of a gaming tech empire...who also resents magical interference in his life and hates that he's a perpetual second-placer in his favorite strategy card game. He's a stubborn grumpy gus who hates this place but will start reluctantly cooperating, honest. And he does genuinely like kids.

Housing Plans: He'll be living his best hermit life in a hill house on his own. Like an idiot he'll probably work winterproof/modernize it in amusing ways until he figures out his crystal can grant wishes like indoor plumbing and heat if he just spends some time socializing. Magic is so weird and incomprehensible, he hates it!

Desired CR: Kaiba prefers intellectual pursuits and dislikes loud noise. He'd probably enjoy a quiet talk with bookish types, or helping out children, or grumping about how annoying magic is. He doesn't tend to initially like boisterous hero types, but would cooperate with them in an emergency. Basically don't let him scare you, he's not so bad! Usually...?

Initial Plans: He'd like to be a hermit, thank you very much...but when it gets through his head that he can have more modern conveniences if he socializes, he'll eventually try. Maybe take a hike up the cliffs, visit the library, quietly watch the network and wonder how he's going to deal.

Event Plans: He'll likely wear a dragon mask to the masquerade, sporting little wings and being slightly attracted to hoarding shiny objects. He hasn't learned to be wary of the mind-altering effects of food and such yet, so this is probably the best time to get to know him.

He doesn't really have CR yet to make the mistletoe fun in that way, but I'm up to tormenting him while he tries everything on the stupid plant. He won't lash out against the other character though, promise.

RP Wishlist: Essentially the arc I'm hoping for is to let him learn that opening up to other people isn't so terrible. They can get more done as a group, and he needs to learn to not be such a stuck-up snob. I want him to be rescued by someone, have to deal with that...then work on getting strong enough to save someone else later.

Housing Plans: he has been invited to the vashtle, but is undecided. he feels really guilty around the entirety of his cast (step-cast?), so if he can't be convinced, he might be looking into a cottage, since... he's too big for any of the other options, honestly

Initial Plans: mostly he will want to get his bearings and figure out how everything works around here. very much survival-oriented in an unfamiliar place.
eventually he'll want to get a job or apprenticeship somewhere he can either nurture living things or create with his hands. i've been considering the farm, carpenter, or potter for him. again, undecided as of yet, but if your character works at one of them, feel free to let me know if you're interested in cr!

Intense Event Plans:
dinner: why is this guy's favorite food generic cafeteria food and fried rice? well, you see,
masquerade: probably going to give him a mix of the upper half of his [canon] [mask] with the horns of a [devil] mask added. you know, for the guilt factor. might fuck around with that translating to actual horns, maybe a silly lil demon tail or cloven feet, for either the night or the month, all depending on how mean i want to be. undecided on whether it'll affect his personality.
confessions: i can't think of anything burning for him at the moment, but if YOU! need a stranger for your character to confess something random to, i volunteer as tribute!

Webby can be a bit naïve to realize when people are being sarcastic or even straight up rude to her, as she takes them at their word or just thinks they're misinformed. She's also VERY LONELY and DESPERATE FOR AFFECTION so she might wind up either being super clingy or doing whatever it takes to win someone over even at her own discomfort. This can easily lead her to being manipulated by those with darker intentions!

Initial Plans: She's got an Open Catch-All Log up! Perfect way to meet her for the first time or strengthen CR. In it, she's on patrol with her new armor since she's the "official" knight of Somnius, building traps to catch Santa Claus, and making friendship bracelets for Christmas gifts (and dumpster-diving to find materials.)

Intense Event Plans:
- Webby will need to be convinced to eat the food, since it's SUPER SUS.
- She'll really see the ball as a way to up her espionage skills, blending in, pretending to be someone else, etc. Not sure what her mask will be and how it'll affect her, open to suggestions!

General Info: A charming, somewhat typical privileged demeanor hiding a blunt but caring personality, with a teasing streak bordering on a little mean. He's noted to be a good leader within his canon so he tries to take charge when he can. He's also dealing with a lot of trauma from the end of his canon, since it resulted in a lot of people dying by his hand and having to help kill someone he considered a good/best friend. He also acts and looks, quite frankly, a lot older than his age would suggest.

General Info: A self-proclaimed cat not fussing about honor. He's based off of the Cat in the original Pinocchio story, including his being attached at the hip (metaphorically) to his sister, Red Fox.

Housing Plans: Cat's getting a hill house, if a smaller than average one, and will not be looking to have roommates or make nice with his neighbors, sorry.

Initial Plans: Gonna be cautious and mad about being separated from his sister, and then pikachu-face.jpeg about feeling lonely. He used to be so good at solitude!
For now, he plans on pickpocketing and preying on goodwill to get by.
That said, he also likes to be a cheery nuisance going :3c at times, it's good fun, so he (hopefully) won't be scaring anyone off.

OKAY. Much to his later dismay, Cat will be having his usual mask replaced with one that leaves his mouth available so he can eat and finally drink his potion...and makes him act a bit, uh, silly. Because his masquerade attire is going to be Frog Prince (gist of the outfit here!)

This means that even outside the mistletoe nonsense, he is going to be asking for kisses to, like, break his curse or whatever. Keep in mind that Cat is 17, so I'm fully expecting some rejection in his future.
Please let me know if you are not comfortable with him making advances on your character, if we have plans! (I will be making a note of this on the actual event as well.)

Other than that, he's slow to trust at best, even when he's cheerful...but he can get chatty. Might use this opportunity to look for people he thinks he can exploit later! I'd love for potential targets for that or some "game recognize game". Feel free to swat him for anything, too.

...on that note, Secret Santa! I'm going back and forth on signing him up because, uh, he would be putting zero thought and effort into what he gives and hoping for something great in return. Fun, or not fun?

Gay Pride is now Gay Wrath. He's depressed, he has a great fashion sense when he's allowed, deadpan one-liners are his bread and butter. When he kisses people, it sparkles.

About Me: I'm in the Mid-Atlantic about an hour-and-half north of DC and hour-south of Baltimore in Maryland, so on the EST time-zone. I've been RPing in various ways since I was a late teen (about the past 25 years), and love collaborative writing. I live on the spooky side of life, am a natural night-owl, work a data-entry day job that I enjoy for it's routine-ness, and knit/sew/crochet/do-beadwork/etc as the mood strikes me. In summer, I vanish as I work for the anime convention called Otakon. I may or may not be a bunch of puppies (or bats) masquerading as a human.

Character Name: Loki of Asgard (Last name: Laufeyson/Odinson)
Canon: Marvel Cinematic Universe--main timeline
Character Age: 1,053 yrs.
General Info: Loki is the classic Trickster and God of Mischief in his canon, and of Norse Mythology in general. Naturally the MCU doesn't always line up with other interpretations and that's perfectly fine. He's been a villain, he's been an anti-hero, he's trying now to become 'maybe' a 'hero'? He's not sure. But he's had growth enough that he's trying to figure out who and what he wants to be, as opposed to fulfilling a role only. This is the third time he's been dropped into a sudden Survival situation, and the first time without his powers and abilities. So he's very much in the make friends allies, be charming/polite, don't make enemies yet, and get yourself settled mode. He will not be looking for actual proper friends, but I want him to get bitten by them anyways. He's always on his own side first, but that isn't always a bad thing and he can grow and change, just like anyone. This is Infinity-War Loki too, for any who wanna place him in the 'timeline'.

Housing Plans: Alice and Gamora have kindly taken him in to their cottage. He's repaying the favor (and testing out the wish system, and encouraging his own comfort too) by upgrading the cottage to have a fireplace.

Desired CR: I am wide-open. I would very much like to further Loki's growth into a non-villain role and into a person defined more by who he wants to be than what others may see. Ultimately, he really just wants a place to belong and to be accepted. He'll never not be mischievous, and if need be he'll play the antagonist too. But I tend to prefer mostly positive-CR and work carefully with other muns on negative-CR. (This is my pretendy-fun-happy-times hobby, I have enough stress in RL.) He's absolutely adopting Alice and Webby, and has a few other contacts he's absolutely keeping an eye on. If you want something specific, please let me know.

Initial Plans: Oh there will be mischief at some point--he doesn't do well when 'bored'. For now though he's busy worrying about making sure he has a secure 'place' so to speak and learning about where he is. I've applied for him to work at Clotilda's as a salesperson/model. I may eventually have him teach something but I'm not sure what just yet. For the winter holiday season, I've plans for him to make little Yule goat ornaments. Ideally, rather than 'giving' any of these out, he'd prefer to sneak them into someone's place of living unnoticed and leave 'em in a spot to be found later. (Usually this is done without knowing who's responsible, and/or has to be done to someone else with the goat the same way.)

So, if you want your char to have this happen, please feel free. Give me a poke too so I can keep loose track, but have fun with it otherwise.

Intense Event Plans: Loki's going to spend a long time exploring that hallway, and being wary of the food since it's probably magic (or at least fae-touched) to his thinking. He'll still eat and drink and go to the masquerade. But as much as he'll fall under the spell (and please please please trap him under mistletoe and have some dances with him too) he'll probably 'wake up' from it quickly. Illusions and this kind of thing is usually his jam, after all. The Dragon's warning will only crystallize that he was tricked, and he will not be a happy God of Mischief. Given his familiarity with this stuff, I'd love for him to help other dreamers who have amnesia or are having trouble breaking the spell.

RP Wishlist: Yule/holiday stuff with Gamora and Alice yes please. At the Masquerade, PLEASE please feel free to dance with Loki and get trapped with him under mistletoe too. (It's a better idea that the other associations with him and that plant...) Beyond that, I'm up for most anything--encounter him at his 'job', train with him, explore with him. I do know he's going to be putting some research into information compiling about where they are/figuring out the grander scheme of things.

Character Age: Billions of years. He's said he's old and immortal, but he usually won't admit just how old.
General Info: Cain is technically the guy from the Abrahamic religions, brother of Abel, oldest son of Adam and Eve, but it's Complicated. In his reality, he and his family were created before the current iteration of life on earth. He was cursed with immortality and a bunch of other shit, lived through an apocalypse.. then lived through the next rise of life on earth, the next apocalypse, the next creation of life, the next apocalypse... you get it. He's been around a really long fucking time, he's sick to death of his family and his life being the prototype for other myths, and he really just wants to die. I have more info in his journal if you're interested, or you can obviously message me if you wanna know.

Housing: Castle Vash with Vash, Knives, Wolfwood, and Meryl. He keeps plants and hangs around as a cat with metal limbs.

Desired CR: The benefit of Cain being old and tired is that he can pretty much get along with anyone. He's Assigned Grandpa, so give him your sad kids and orphans and the like. Also interested in potential romantic partners, so that's something we could talk about.

Plans: He's probably teaching at the school. He's also wandering around town in cat form bc he likes not being himself. He spends a fair bit of time in the library picking up new info (he has a photographic memory), and he might be adding books.. into the library.. given he's read a lot of them and can pen them back down word for word.

Intense Event Plans: He's attending the masquerade for sure! I'm not sure what theme he'll be using yet, but it may be something more on the.. uhh.. less jaded side? Just so he can have a change of pace there. Any of his favorite foods will come from like.. his version of the Garden of Eden, and will thus probably not exist anymore on earth, and will probably be like the best fruit you've ever eaten in your life, and he will 100% be emotional about it bc he never thought he'd experience it again. Also please dance with him and PLEASE wind up under the mistletoe with him, he deserves a nice kiss or two, though obviously grandchildren will receive head kisses only.

RP Wishlist: See above! Eventually I want him to get at least some part of his curse back, so I want him to get to a point where he wouldn't just like.. immediately off himself once it happens.

General Info: "Hypersensitive small man" (Kamiya Hiroshi, Japanese VA), "Little badass," (Matthew Mercer, English VA).

Levi grew up in the slums, became a criminal, was pressganged into the Survey Corps, became their strongest / most important soldier. He has a deadpan exterior, speaks crudely and crassly, makes bad shit jokes, but underneath is squishy, soft and caring interior that cares a lot about people and hates to see unnecessary suffering. Tends to collect troubled teens (and sometimes troubled adults), just wants people to live a happy and peaceful life. He's good at offering comfort and an ear without drama or lots of excessive fussing.

Housing Plans: He and Erwin and Hange have MOVED: they're in a cottage now to be near The Kids. It has more space for all of them.

Desired CR: I'd love to continue building CR with a bunch of people he's interacted with over the past couple months!

New CR is always good too of course - he can be very blunt and sometimes hard to understand, or just too crass for some people, so it's very possible to get complicated CR with him as well. He could probably use some more adults in his CR to be honest. We both love all his kids but he could use more acquaintances / friends over the age of 20 |D;

Initial Plans: Erwin and Hange are planning a Party that's Definitely Not a Birthday Thing for Levi - it's open to anyone!!

Intense Event Plans: I don't have any specific plans at the moment tbh, but I'm pretty much open to ALL parts of the event (yes including Mistletoe) and will write up a top level for most of the prompts. I'm totally happy to plot for specific shenanigans as well!

Initial Plans: She works for Aurora at Thyme to Bloom. She also has her Palisman Clover, and unless she's using her staff to fly around, Clover will always be out and seen with Willow wherever she goes. She also just likes to visit her friends around town or at their homes, if they don’t mind her dropping by. I'm hoping to get her plant magic back soon as well, so she'll have that to show people and people can see her starting to lose control of it

Intense Event Plans: Willow will definitely attend the masquerade, probably wearing a plant-themed mask. Depending on who she's with, she could make a certain confession or do something under the mistletoe (ahem). She'll definitely want to help whoever the mysterious message is from, but I am toying a bit with her having a bit of amnesia for a while

RP Wishlist: She's been slowly opening up about some of the things bothering her, but she definitely still has a long way to go. As mentioned earlier, I'm hoping to get her plant magic back soon, so she'll want to show people, but people will definitely be able to see she might not have as much control over it as she thinks

General Info: Gale is an accidentally explosive wizard who you can count on to be a cheerful booknerd info dump about the Forgotten Realms. Gale was at one time an archmage, the Chosen of the Goddess of Magic and also her lover, up until he fucked up so bad that he lost most of his magic AND got dumped at the same time. Then the BG3 plot happened and Things Got Worse. He's still fairly new so he's been settling in and getting used to losing his magic for the second time.

Housing Plans: He's probably just staying in a treehouse, rip his knees.

Desired CR: Still looking for everything, he's acquainted with a few people now but definitely could use more friends! Negative CR is also welcome, Gale is easy to get along with but it's not all that hard to rub him the wrong way.

Initial Plans: I have decided that he's not going to get a job for a while, so he's generally going to be just kind of wandering around and doing his thing. Gale spends a lot of time at the library in particular, so that's the best place to find him.

Intense Event Plans:

She's not exactly the most social person around, making her a classic introvert. But she does warm up once she gets to know someone. And she is trying to become more social since coming to Somnius.

Housing Plans: Currently, Rose lives in a cottage with her boyfriend, Shiranui. Definitely not looking for any roommates, but neighbors are more than welcomed!

Desired CR: Any CR would be great, but she could use some more positive CR. She definitely has an easier time relating to other battle harden warriors, or anyone interested in sparring/training with a sword.

Initial Plans: She is currently working at the pottery shop and going about her business. When she's not working and is not in Shiranui's company, she will go out on patrol.

Intense Event Plans: Yes, Rose will end up eating the food, and attending the masquerade. So yes, this will be a rare time in which Rose will wear a dress, and not have her sword on her. And for once she will not say she feels naked without her sword, due to the mind manipulation. She will also be wearing a cat mask, which will result in her having a fluffy black tail.
Open for her getting caught under the mistletoe with someone! Though, anyone who isn't Shiranui will only get a peck on the cheek from her, if they're an adult. Kids will only get a kiss on top of their head.
Once she comes to, she will be quite pissed due to being mind manipulated, and will also want to know more about the gold dragon and how to free it.

Character Name: Thorfinn
Canon: Vinland Saga
Character Age: 18
General Info: Lost his dad (traumatically) as a kid and blames himself. Declares vengeance on the man who did it and follows said man around for 10+ years. A very capable fighter but he's still just a human and knows nothing about magic and superpowers and whatever. Slow to open up or trust, not used to having friends or anyone who really cares much about him. In canon he tends to not really talk but that's not super fun to play so I'm finding reasons to make him more likely to talk/interact.

Also he and Eren Jaeger sort of declared they're going to kill Vaeros, it's fine, don't worry about it.

As a general thing, Thorfinn uses violence to solve problems, but he doesn't fight/kill people without reason. He has a whole thing about honour bound up in the rest of his thought process so he'll bounce from a fight if there's no reason for it.

Housing Plans: lol. Lmao. In a tree I GUESS
No honestly I don't really have plans for this; Thorfinn has lived outside or mostly outside, and travelled around a lot, since he was a kid so the idea of having a place he can just…live…is foreign to him.

Desired CR: I'm BRAND NEW here so really anything? I don't like negative CR for no reason, but I am up for negative CR that grows/changes/is interesting! Thorfinn is an angry teenager with a lot of trauma, so some friction is definitely fine/expected!
THAT SAID, Thorfinn's canon character arc actually does lead him away from violence and vengeance so he can go either way at this point. Anyone who can influence him either to continue to be the way he is OR to realise that vengeance is an empty path, I'm down for. Thorfinn is used to being wielded as a weapon (he would not appreciate this assessment) and can do that in a situation that is necessary.

Initial Plans: I…don't have anything concrete tbh I'm vibing? Tbh I like DRAMA and HUMOUR in equal doses so come at me.

Intense Event Plans:
It would be GREAT to have Thorfinn actually be in a good mood so this is a fun time to meet him at the initial party! (He'll go for the food and because I said so.) It might actually be very funny to meet him here and then later meet him when he's not dosed with happy juice just to see the difference :')

I'm undecided on the masque thing. I love dressing up characters in RP but I'm waffling on the "traits of the mask they're wearing" thing so idk we'll see?

He has never kissed anyone so naturally I am up for kisses. He's 18 if that matters, but any type of kiss is welcome here from cheeks to full on. Confessions are on the table here, but I think I'd tailor this to what kind of character he's actually talking to. It might be something along the line of things he says to Einar in s2 (if you don't know Vinland, dw too much about it, it has to do with how much he actually doesn't like violence), or just that he wants to someday see Vinland. He doesn't know anyone well enough for a fake romance confession, alas, so it's just going to be this kind of confession.

Handwaving him hearing the dragon message for now.

RP Wishlist:

- Thorfinn having a mentor who can teach him something other than how to use weapons
