Summary of the gamewide Council Meeting + OOC Plotting!

Hi everyone!

This is an OOC plotting post summarizing Jasmine's Council Meeting Log, and opening plotting up to anyone who may have missed the log / been too busy to tag in but are still interested in getting involved.

+ FAQ: What is the Council?

The Council was started by Jasmine callmeaprincess to discuss and collaborate on issues affecting Dreamers. It's less of a governing authority than a community service club: participation is voluntary and open to all.

The Council has handwaved meetings weekly. A sign-up spreadsheet is here. It hasn't been updated recently but we can change that now haha.

Discussion on how this place works and April's Dream Event

• Kaito shares that Vaeros granted his wish and returned him home, and he's now back with a second wish


• Sunset Shimmer proposes a theory about dimensional bleed


• Elias asks about investigating the Crystal. It might be alive?


• Aki confirms April's Dream Event devils were from his world and talks more about them


• Yang suggests 1) April's Dream Event could be a vision? 2) What if the Crystal is a direct line to Vaeros?


• Denji: "The asshole is just messing with us."


• Maleficient: "The undead, those dogs, demons and the like... They are all from other worlds, yes. Perhaps they were brought here themselves, by our 'generous' host, in order to keep us occupied."

Discussion on what the Dreamers can/should do, going forward

• Elias offers magic lessons; Jasmine, Red Son & Arrakis also offer what they can teach


• Ari talks to Jasmine about info-collection and consent


• Belle talks about researching dragons in the library and maintaining a Dreamer census


• Azula proposes that the townsfolk should not be trusted, and so the Dreamers should start their own weapons store/supply chains.

+ How do I get involved?

First off, the Meeting Log is still open! Feel free to tag in or start your own toplevels. You do not need to be a "Council Member" to post in the log (but you can handwave your character joining if you wanted, since the joining process is "tell Jasmine you want to join" as far as I know.)

Here is a non-exhaustive list of IC projects that either already exist, or have been suggested in the recent Council Meeting. I'll put up a comment header where you can sign up for these projects or propose new initiatives: comment below and plot around!

• Defense force / Patrol Squad: The Defense Force is a separate entity from the Council focused on defending against threats in times of crisis. It's run by Kate, and has a separate member list (sign up here).
• Teachers looking for students: A few dreamers have offered to teach skills, or help anyone inexperienced improve their potion magic - Elias (elemental magic), Jasmine (pole-vaulting), Red Son (fire and wind magic, shapeshifting), Arrakis (wind magic, flight).
• Data collection and surveying the Dreamers: There was some discussion of surveying the Dreamers just to have a population census / keep track of which characters have 'mysteriously disappeared', specifically by Ari, Belle, and Jasmine. A (very) incomplete record of Labyrinth investigation results also exists in the library, drafted by Kaito and Elias- it only includes what was publicly shared on the network.
• Azula's proposal for Dreamer self-sufficiency: Azula's toplevel included a few ideas such as setting up our own blacksmith/supply of weapons (iirc Red Son is independently working on this as well), finding Dreamers-only safe areas, and increasing security of the player-run clinic. All of these ideas are open for someone to jump on.
• Player-run clinic: Speaking of the clinic, FYI we have a player-run clinic! (It is a different establishment than the NPC-run Church of the Moon, but you can go to either for medical help.)
• Suggest your own project!

Vol'tha Doneeta

Character name: Vol'tha Doneeta
Project: Everything involving security or exploration is right up her street, so she'll patrol or delve into wherever needs looking into. If and when she regains her abilities, she'll be a lot better about that.

More details: Very happy to get her into any sort of adventure/exploration - it's definitely what she'd want to do. Shenanigans along the way are also great, since she's a former bandit before she was a Jedi...so she has some leeway in her ideology.

Handwave or threaded out?: Could do both!

Is there something your character would bring up in a future Council Meeting? For example, this current log takes place before June's event so anything about the Skeksis or the dragons would not be covered.
