Welcome to the game, newbies! To our current dreamer crew, glad you're still with us! This post will act as an OOC intro for new players and a CR meme for everyone. Below you will see the CR meme form as well as an Event Outline for our current TDM for quick reference. If you have questions regarding the TDM, please direct them to the TDM Questions header on the TDM proper. There will be a Sleepr post this coming saturday, a popular low stakes fun CR building network based event. Look forward to it! We will have an updated quest post going live later this month as well. Enchanted Garden

• New characters all arrive here. It is currently always raining.
• Monstera - can be large enough to have leaves bigger than the biggest umbrella. Handy.
• Monstera - also causes those who touch it to have super sticky hands.
• Cactus - has healing properties when the fruit is spread on wounds. also sharp ouch!
• Cactus - can also cause untalkative sorts to be more talkative OR those who are untruthful to be more truthful.
• New characters can be escorted out by envoys, and have the option of having the basics of the setting explained to them.

Something in the Air

• Power in both Visium and Lumindeas is acting strange.
• Power outages start sparse and worsen over time. No technology other than the oracles can be used during this time.
• Oracles can also act strange at this time, sending messages to the wrong people, posting private moments etc.
• During the day everything seems fine without creature comforts
• At night, everything is dark, even the moon is dim and it may be hard to navigate or cause hallucinations
• Shadows can take on life of their own and swallow dreamers alive.
• Searching for swallowed dreamers may find more dreamers trapped together in the dark for an unknown length of time.

Deep into the Air Cliffs

• Seravo and Myrta have decided that Dreamers will be asked to go to a temple to purify a shrine
• This purified shrine will empower Myrta's magic and enable her to open Vaeros' castle.
• There are creatures in the cliffs that are dangerous
• Spiderlike creatures have made the shrine their own and will aggressively protect their nests,they are weak to light and fire
• Newly arrived dreamers seem to attract less spidery attention
• there is a puzzle to solve to reassemble the shrine, using crystals
• those who enter the shrine room will become blessed with luck and will receive a small trinket on their pillow back home

The Wizard's castle

• The crystals placed in the Air cliffs seem to uncrystalize a large portion of the castle, allowing Dreamers inside.
• Different parts of the castle are explorable, left wing and right wing
• Left wing offers a mirror room that shows dreamers their doubts, and dreamers may hear whispers targeting their insecurities. The lower level has dark hallways and pitfalls that will display Dreamer's regrets.
• Right Wing will subject dreamers to corrupted goblins that will attack and are looking to devour metals and the lower level seems to sink into a watery dreamworld where carnivorous fish and an ancient sea monster reside
• the throne room is the goal, where the scepter resides, held up high by corrupted crystal
• touching the corrupted crystal will curse dreamers, giving them bad luck and night terrors about being controlled by an unseen force

remember that kind, sweet, passive aggressive little guy who just wanted to help?

well. deuces to him. the media darling on a revenge tour is gone.

he's still a lying, manipulative asshole, but now it's apparent. he's not hiding it. his emotions and world view are incredibly warped. he is violent. he will act out.

in canon, he is ambiguously dead after sacrificing himself to save the phantom thieves (after losing a fight to them but listen its progress). he was brought back to life via maruki's ideal world and fought to return reality back to normal/get into that VOID. now he's back again and making it everyone's problem.

he is mad he's here. he no longer gives a shit about hiding his true self and is more genuine than he's ever been. however. that. hm. he's a dick. that's about it.

he is capable of forming bonds however his adamant refusal to acknowledge them makes it an incredibly slow burn. it's doubtful he will ever fully acknowledge liking/being friends with another.

all cr with him will eventually become negative if characters start to bond with him in a real way or he starts to find ur character interesting - it's basically inevitable. he's a 'it gets worse, dear god it's so much worse, oh my lord oh my god this is terrible before it gets 0.01% better' sort of guy.

tldr; he was a really Nice Guy and now he's An Asshole adamant on destroying this reality. please read permissions before interacting with him!

Desired CR: i have a lot of incredible cr with akechi and with his canon update, i'm interested in expanding that further/growing it/etc. if you want a messed up little dude, i am here to help. in particular looking for: ppl willing to go through the slowburn. looking for characters also mad about injustice/being in this world. dead characters please respond. negative cr enjoyers. intelligent characters. erratic characters. he's an asshole less willing to help out in matters That Aren't Leaving, but ??? well trust me. it's just easier to deal with him somehow. i dont make the rules.

Desired CR: anything!!! siffrin is a people pleaser through and through, so they want to get along with people, but it's not always possible. whether it's positive or negative is great, and with him, even the most positive cr can turn negative very quickly and then vice versa. why? don't worry about it.

General Info: Vash is a pacifistic transdimensional alien manufactured by humans for material labor turned gunslinging outlaw on a planet made of desert. He holds things close to his chest, but in Labyrinthum has started to grow roots and build relationships he considers very important. He will literally take bullets for anyone showing him a shred of kindness and will fight tooth and nail for those who need it the most.

Desired CR:

• Negative CR - enemy of my enemy etc. Vash's brother is in game and causing problems lately. If you have CR with Knives and want to experience the other unhinged side of interdimensional aliens, Vash is your guy. Vash is also a pacifist and will likely have friction against those who kill/injure others without remorse.
  
  
• Positive CR - Friends, especially those who are looking to push past surface level relationships, are interesting to him. Vash has many deep connections in Laby, and I would love to branch out and start some new things or tertiary friendships turning deeper (friend of a friend etc)

General Info:

Getting the biggest Attack on Titan spoiler out of the way first...

Eren is a protagonist turned antagonist whose grief and hatred drives him to destroy 80% of the human population. He once wanted to save the world! But he ended up trying to save only a small handful of chosen people instead. Isn't that horrific?

He's not a nice guy. He thinks of a significant portion of the population as cattle, including a great deal of Dreamers, wants to kill all the locals, as well as the NPCs, and additionally aims to eventually take control of this reality and use that power to do whatever he wants for himself and for everyone else. ❤︎ He's also highly emotional despite a blank facade and can turn into a 15-meter-tall monstrosity (on the low end). He owns a farm in Somnius that he thinks of more as a war base. He's deeply insane and also suffers from the burden of knowing infinite time - in other words, his memories are entirely scrambled, and he basically wanders around not knowing what day it is or what's going on half the time (he thinks he hides it well). Did I mention he was essentially a god at one point?

Eren will always tell you exactly what he thinks without any regard for your wellbeing. He'll also needle you just to get a reaction, and will pry into your insecurities and fears with little to no reason. He's a deeply unhappy person who doesn't hesitate to make others unhappy. That being said, meaningful CR with him is possible and I find it very rewarding. Does he treat those he loves well? Absolutely not. ❤︎ Send tweet.

Desired CR: Generally, I am very open to any and all varieties of CR and largely prefer to see how things go naturally, rather than plan for certain developments or over-plot before threading. That being said, negative CR is always fun (and likely), people who intrigue or challenge him are his favorite, he loves strong women characters (in an antagonistic way), and he's always looking for strong/smart allies.

A note here that I'm no longer shipping with him beyond the ships I already have. He's retired.

Monthly Plans: Eren has an emergency bonfire running all month - this TL acts as an open mingle for anyone that wants to use it, just as you would with a mingle log, just on the tdm. Feel free to post your own TLs here, tag around, etc. - it'll go all month! He also has his own TL there, talking strategy, but I'm open to wildcards if you want to do something else bonfire-related.

He'll also have a TL on Sleepr, so look out for that. I typically try not to commit to tagging certain threads on Sleepr anymore because half the time I open the TL and realize my character would not actually tag that particular online post, SO! We can agree to look out for each other on Sleepr, but I won't make hard plans.

General Info:

Haru is a Persona user/member of the Phantom Thieves who grew up among the wealthy elite and was pretty sheltered for a long time. Her father was going to forcibly marry her off to a creepy older man and she got sick and tired of being a puppet, so she tried to change her dad's heart and he was super murdered instead. It was for the best, I prommy, but no points to the folks who did it.

Despite the general shitty rich people she grew up around, Haru is an incredibly kind and polite young girl. As always, she has some complex grief surrounding her father's death that's exacerbated in Laby sometimes.

She's a great friend to have and very loyal to those who establish deep bonds with her and treat her with love and mutual respect. Basically, max out her social link and you will have a friend for life!

She's taken from before entering the Sapporo Jail in Strikers! I plan to canon update her sometime in March to post-Strikers timeline.

Desired CR: I bring this up a lot but:

• Girl CR as always. Girly things. Shopping, hair stuff, coming up with crazy fighting moves, etc. Gossip about boys OR girls you like? Who knows.
  
• I'd actually like to lead this into a girls night/sleepover one of these days! Not sure when this would happen, given my job schedule and in between Laby events, but maybe in March or April?

Basil is an anxious person who loves flowers and once loved taking pictures. Due to his traumatic past, he has difficulty opening up to others and tends to withdraw more than the normal person typically would. However, he's the type of friend who would do absolutely anything for the people he loves, even if it's not what's best for either himself or the other person.

Desired CR: He has friends and partners. I'd love for him to form some sort of found family relationship or people he could potentially hire for his flower shop. I'm always open to everything though!

Millions Knives | Trigun Stampede

General Info: Vash's evil twin. Like his brother, he's an interdimensional being known as a plant, a species created by humans to provide resources like fuel, water, food etc. Whereas Vash sees the relationship between humans and plants as symbiotic and wants to live peacefully alongside them, Knives sees this relationship as one based on enslavement and suffering, where plants are harvested until they sicken and die. Appointing himself to act as a living weapon to save his brethren from oppression, he styles himself as an Old Testament god who strikes down the sinful in order to purge the world.

What his warped morality actually translates to is slaughtering humanity en masse, and 'protecting' his brother by trying to isolate him, control him, and eliminate anyone he's ever cared about. Knives is ultimately very selfish, driven by extreme fear, and handles it by making it everyone else's problem. Being in Labyrinthum has done little to improve any of this given how much the setting messes with people, and he's convinced he can 'save' his brother by forcing him to go back to No Man's Land against his will. yay!

Before interacting, please check out his permissions. I play him as an opt in character and won't tag anyone who hasn't indicated an interest in CR. Now he has his power regains he's much more dangerous and inclined to attack human characters who set him off.

Desired CR: He's mostly a negative CR magnet and I'm all for playing out the repercussions of that, but for non-human characters he's capable of being civil with them and even developing alliances, if he thinks their goals are aligned, like learning more about the setting and finding a way home. He's also willing to manipulate humans if he thinks it will get him what he wants. Prone to being a freak ass yandere towards Vash's CR.

Monthly Plans: TDM toplevel here, still open to tag-ins. Stabbed Shinjiro for FAFO reasons. He's spending the rest of the month cursed due to touching the sceptre, so if anyone wants to do any TDM follow-up threads, let me know.

Desired CR: Anything and everything! He's been making a lot of good friends, but it won't hurt to have more. Negative CR with him is admittedly hard to do since he's such a friendly guy, but I'm open to that, too.

Right now Ryoji is all set to have his powers back, but...he's not so sure if he even wants them back. I'd like more conversations with him about the topic, whether it's about him being fine as who he is now or accepting that other part of himself!

On a lighter note, he's also looking for a teacher that can help him play the piano beyond self-study.

General Info: Sephiroth is the product of human experimentation, was raised to be a soldier, and spent some time as a war hero before learning about his origins and having a violent emotional breakdown. He did try to destroy the Planet and become a god, but he doesn't see any point to killing everyone here yet so he can almost behave like a normal person.

Lately people have been trying very hard to get him to understand things like feelings and trauma, both of which he has, unbeknownst to himself. He is maybe, however, starting to care when bad things happen to other people.

Desired CR: I am open to anything! Sephiroth gets along best with non-human characters and finds it easiest to talk about things that could be construed as information-gathering. He does not like talking about his feelings because other people always seem to be confused about which ones he is experiencing for some reason.

Friendship is a long game with him, and he will shut down attempts to speedrun it, but he can get there. Or if you want negative CR with a risk of stabbing, he could be your guy!

Monthly Plans: I do have him on the TDM if you'd like to bother him! I'm also happy to talk quests once the new ones go up.

In terms of his personal arc, I think it would suit him to be presented with opportunities to try to solve problems for other people. He will not be good at this unless the solution requires arson but it's the thought that counts.

General Info: Plucky inventor turned crime boss daughter turned domestic terrorist turned revolutionary — Jinx has reinvented herself a lot, and not by choice! She's a walking trench coat of past traumas attempting to look like a young woman who Totally Has It All Figured Out. For all she can be prickly and sarcastic, Jinx does mean well — she's just shit at showing it. Expect cat-like behavior of hunting and tossing dead animals at your feet to express her affection.

Housing Plans: Jinx won't really be bunking down anywhere permanently. She'll likely couch surf, so to speak, for a good while until she decides what she likes, and even then, she's reluctant to really call anywhere home. You'll probably find her rummaging through your trash at some point. Just ignore her.

Desired CR: God, please, give her FRIENDS. I'm feral for the found family trope. That said, Jinx is often an instigator and loves stirring shit, so I'm totally open to negative CR/silly rivalries. She really isn't expecting to make connections here, and I can't wait to come in with the positive CR steel chair. :)

Monthly Plans: I'm still tagging things back (albeit slowly) on the TDM! I've been fighting a bad cold off for weeks now that I'm hoping is finally gone. For this month, Jinx will be sticking her head directly into everything just to see what happens so. I'm very open to where she ends up getting into trouble! It's inevitable ljfdgdfk

Character Name: Suo Hayato

General Info: I describe Suo as The Manic Pixie Dream Character of the series.

He's fun, quirky, supportive and wholly unserious. His only goal: helping others to become the best possible version of themselves. At least, that's what he'll have you believe.

Suo is a mysterious character who keeps the focus off himself whenever possible and when it is on him, turns it into a joke. Narratively speaking, we don't actually know much about Suo yet, which puts him in the conflicting position of being both "what you see is what you get" because his secrets are also secrets from the audience and "there is clearly something more there" because he's very obviously keeping walls up and not letting others in.

His dream is the emancipation of slaves, which sounds like the most generic deflection answer in existence, considerating everything above. I did justify it being his actual wish here with references to his canon behavior though, so I think there's plenty to support he'd have strong feelings about the topic of slavery.

Suo's favorite place to be is school, and the lack of academic focus in the series suggests to me that has more to do with wanting to be with his friends as much as possible. His interests are animals, music, languages and tea from around the world. He's among the strongest in his class, proficient in mixed martial arts that leans heavily into aikido and kung fu influences. He's the class strategist and an extremely protective person.

Housing Plans: Suo is living in a hobbit hole, because he'd find that hilarious, if you ask me. While he's a very private person who would prefer to live alone, I love housing and roommate shenanigans, so I do hope to have him living with someone else, eventually. For now, that's just more of a long term goal, because it would need to be someone he's comfortable enough with respecting his privacy and extremely odd habits (like refusing to eat in front of others).

Desired CR: Suo gets along with most people, and doesn't condone holding grudges so he's pretty adaptable. He can be annoying and isn't for everyone, but he's a deeply committed individual for anyone that can put up with his antics. People familiar with Sakura know exactly what kind of person attracts Suo's attention, but he has zero patience for selfish people with lacking empathy.

This is my first game with Suo and it takes me a bit to work out a trajectory, so for now I'm just winging it and seeing how things go. I'm extremely open to things, if you're interested and unsure how to get CR started, just hit me up and we can go from there.

General Info: Yoshiki is a (very) small town boy and the unwilling heir to a small forestry business. He is also a horror manga protagonist whose best friend Comes Back Wrong™, who is then faced with a series of increasingly difficult choices and challenges, involving his personal life and/or the supernatural. Yoshiki deals with depression and anxiety and has something of a negative outlook, but he is essentially a kind person who tries to help others—in spite of his difficulties, personal and otherwise. He is basically a normal teenager, but has become increasingly "mixed" (less human) due to his close, personal relationship with an eldritch horror.

Desired CR: I am up for basically anything. CR that is positive, negative, or all things in between. He could really use friends or mentors. However, I am also open to confused or concerned onlookers, well- or ill-meaning acquaintances, outright enemies, and other options I haven't named here. Though Yoshiki will try to avoid conflicts when possible. He's not looking to start a fight. As I've previously mentioned, I'd like him to interact with more LGBTQ+ people, because he's struggling with his own sexuality.

Monthly Plans: Yoshiki has a top level on the TDM. He runs a (very) small foraging business and sells his wares to local businesses, but his business has largely dried up due to the winter weather. He is idly looking for more work to support himself. I'd be up for him doing some of the easier quest board jobs. Yoshiki is also training to become a better fighter and get better at using his earth powers, so someone to train with would be great. He has a sword and everything. Yoshiki is also trying to investigate this strange world, but he hasn't gotten very far with his investigations.

Desired CR: Vil has been im game for years now, and is pretty settled. So there’s nothing specific I’m seeking out, but he’s the type to easily get out there and meet people.

Tenna is a family CRT television set brought to life as a Darkner into his own Dark World, and boy he has a lot of feelings about it. Tenna's a high energy performer by nature, wanting to fulfill his purpose of being watched and entertaining his viewers. Unfortunately people don't really watch TV much anymore, which means Tenna is ALSO full of anxiety, abandonment and control issues, a deathly fear of being alone and he copes with this by ....... not coping with it at all, actually. He is also the main antagonist of Chapter 3, but don't worry about it. Just say you Love TV and everything's good :)

Desired CR: Any and almost all! Tenna's gotten some good friendships going but I'm also down for negative CR, since he is a major pain in the ass depending on his mood. Characters who are willing to push back on Tenna's bullshit/delusions when they come up would also be very good.

She's kind, but not a pushover, and will 100% tell someone about themselves if need be.

She's also in love with Taran, and misses him, which has come up a few times! She knows magic in the form of generic telepathy, healing, and animal transformation, and enjoys walks in the woods to clear her mind as much as to find an adventure to have.

Desired CR: I'm up for anything barring shipping or negative CR just for the sake of having it!

Desired CR: HSY isn't someone who's afraid to be antagonistic to someone, and even enjoys it to a certain extent; at the very least, she's not inclined to back down or stop being stubborn. Currently in recovery following a failed attempt to take a teenager's soul and become god.

Desired CR: He is weird and offputting and has a bad temper so I kind of feel bad throwing him at people unsolicited, lmao. He's easy to get goofy mildly negative CR with, but if it gets deeper than that it can get ugly. For POSITIVE CR, the types he gets along with best are people who can match his freak and just roll with his bullshit and people he can empathize with, which is like, people who are being controlled by outside forces against their will and underdogs who get shat on by the world. It's pretty easy for anyone to win him over with any concrete proof that they care about him though.

General Info: Beatrice is a major character in Umineko, or dare I say the major character in Umineko, presented as the main antagonist. You simply can't gush about her too much without going Spoiler Warning Spoiler Warning Spoiler Warning about it, but luckily she's also great in a non-spoiler way. She is a terrifying and powerful witch who orchestrates a gruesome serial murder, rewinds time, and does it all over again and again. ...She's also a capricious and fun-loving girl who likes mysteries, games, sweets, and finicky logic puzzle type things. Her canonpoint is something of a depressing one (post EP4) but she'll be happy to be free of All That, in a magical world of new experiences where she isn't confined. So overall she'll still be energized to meet people!

Desired CR: Literally everyone! It's been years since I've RPed Beatrice but my Umineko love is Forever so I am excited about interacting with everyone. Her canon is set in the 80s so she'll be confused by people who are too modern though.

She gets along especially well with people who banter/snipe with her, kind elders, and children. As a witch, I am also excited to get her CR with other witches or magic-users, but the magic system in Umineko is uhhhh unique. Witches are absolutely not creatures that can freely act out in the open, for one thing. She might get culture shock interacting with more traditional witches. She will fake it and pretend like she understands things that she does not actually understand. OOCly I find this discrepancy funny, and if you also find it funny hmu.

Umineko is also a very meta canon and she is being apped from the "metaverse"! So other characters who are fluent in loops, meta-narratives, etc. will be easier for her to converse with. She has spent a while interacting with people as her "pieces" on a "gameboard" and will consider this place a different kind of "gameboard," even if she's happy to play her role here.

Desired CR: The ever present, distant chanting of "hurt comfort" grows louder. But honestly any form of comfort is good. New CR, people she can tease or prank. Those that match well against brats are ideal. Frenemies? Maybe even enemies but they'd need a good reason to not just avoid each other.

She has also been cursed a few times ^_^' Sleeping magic is her specialty (though it is unpredictable), and while she still has a lot to learn, she can be particularly insightful at times. She is learning to be less over-dependent on those around her, but will still rush/yeet herself into danger in order to earn her belonging (she really is a good person too, just has no self-preservation... also, please someone get through to her on why this is a bad thing, everyone in canon has tried and she still is confused).

Desired CR: I’m game for mostly everything, though negative CR prefers to be talked through (even though it’s difficult to gain that with Chise; she’s pretty conflicted about such things, but look at how she handles the in-canon antogonists /shrug). People to talk magic, curses, and maybe the Odd Teen Out or Complicated Childhoods. Also, relationships - please, people to talk with this about ^^ she’s happily dating in game and technically married/engaged/whatever you would like to call that with Elias in canon.
