Welcome to the game, newbies! To our current dreamer crew, glad you're still with us! This post will act as an OOC intro for new players and a CR meme for everyone. Below you will see the CR meme form as well as an Event Outline for our current TDM. If you have questions regarding the TDM, please direct them to the TDM Questions header on the TDM proper. There will be a Sleepr post this coming weekend, a popular low stakes fun CR building network based event. Look forward to it! We will have an updated quest post going live later this month as well. You can always look at our calendar to see what is up coming for the month! To our Established Playerbase: Our form has slightly changed over time as we attempt to streamline it, so please be sure to use the form provided below. We have combined some fields and streamlined from previous instances of the CR meme.

Garden of Dreams

• Dreamers arrive in the enchanted garden, after making a wish in their sleep / at their time of death
• Blood weed grows, as sharp as razorblades. Dreamers must move through the thickets, avoiding being cut; the cuts are extremely painful.
• Witch hair also grows, and can be used to heal the cuts from the blood weed. Ingesting it also allows the user to control the weather for a short period of time.

The Spirit of Competition

• A festival is being thrown across both Visium and Lumindeas, celebrating the spirit of competition.
• Dreamers are all divided into four color-based teams, red, blue, green, and yellow, depending on certain traits they possess (see section for list - players choose which team their character will be on).
• Members of the same team can communicate telepathically, and increase each other's physical and magical abilities when they are close.
• Dreamers will experience negative effects when interacting with members of other teams (see section for list).
• There are several events for Dreamers to participate in (see section for list), and all feel compelled to compete and give the competition their best effort.
• Rewards are medals, ribbons, trophies, and sometimes cords.

Living Scavenger Hunt

• Dreamers are all given a list with descriptions befitting of other Dreamers. They must locate these other Dreamers, and get their signature next to the descriptor they match (see section for list).
• Dreamers may also participate in a game where they draw a slip of paper with a descriptor on it, and hand that slip of paper to someone that it describes (ie: someone you like; see section for list of suggestions)
• All feel compelled to be honest in their selections, or if they are confronted

The Gametime Jubilations

• For the duration of the competition, there is a 24/7 festival, offering games, food, dancing, etc.; in every corner of Visium and Lumindeas, people seem to be participating in this festival.
• There are various competitions like dance competitions, a cake walk, open mic/karaoke competition, etc.
• To be served food, Dreamers must engage in a compliment war against each other, offering compliments within a time limit to win enough points to eat. There are also several eating contests (pies, hot dogs, etc.)
• To sit with your food, you must play musical chairs (while eating)

Character Name: Nao Mizushita
Canon: Original
Character Age: 18
General Info: Jorogumo/SPIDER-themed/related, orphaned, allegedly deceased mafia princess in denial of her heritage and original identity who lives 'free' in Tokyo under another ID (see: Nao Mizushita) as a prolific if very much delinquent hacker (see: Pink Spider) and information broker ("consultant" when legal) who totally isn't increasingly, quickly scratching an itch to look into the murders of that person's (see: her OG identity) immediate family 'cause stuff don't add up! Orphaned at 9, on her own since 12, she's impacted others' stories in a number of roles and ways in the professional sphere as she rides out her "free" days period (see: prologue) largely in isolation for a myriad of safety and revenge related reasons, a little before the end of which she was pulled into Somnius, where she's been growing like a weed and learning how to live as a present being rather than survive as a figurative ghost whose purpose is to speak for the dead.

Nao is a CCIoC--Complicated, Complex Incarnation of Chaos. She presents as... a lot of things, but off the top of my head, let's go with freewheeling, eccentric, curious, playful/mischievous, A LOT at times, and idk Strohl thinks she plays the fool, so take that character review to heart ig. She honestly works well with a wide range of characters including those with dubious moralities thanks to her BG; though, she's kept her nose mostly clean here because there's no Internet, BOO and is even on the way to getting her business license for her farm. (Say whaaat?)

She's a supernatural teenaged crime-related experience, cannibalism OPTIONAL--by which I mean it doesn't have to come up, but tbh, she has never eaten anybody despite her Spider Girl Issues. Please check out her perms & warnings and get here. Then, please check and fill out her SPECIAL PERMISSIONS if you plan on having your character interact with her in person. She's a delight, but please note she isn't an open book! That's kind of an important thing. So. Y'know.

Desired CR: All of it. The big, long-term character arc I'm running for Nao involves reconciling her identities, embracing heritage, and wholly accepting her whole herself, which sounds really simple, short and sweet! It's not. She's not an open book generally and has a lot of stuff to work on and through with each item. As one might expect, she's often unwittingly helped or hindered by the CR she makes, so I'm looking for everything and I'm always, always in the market for developing her existing CR.

I love the adults she's wound up with in her life and definitely want to continue to develop that CR. I'm also especially in the market for CR with whom she might eventually feel comfortable enough to share some of her many, many, many, many, many, many, many totally normal and not concerning secrets whether the response is positive or negative. The problem with being a secretive little shit is denying yourself the possibility of different perspectives and the opportunity to talk things through, which totally hasn't had a negative effect on her at all. No, sir. Her coping and self-management methods are healthy.

Definitely need more teen CR with whom to do at least SOME normal teen things. Nao has her laptop, which means movie nights and some gaming at the farmhouse. CR open to tanuki shenanigans. Friends. I'd love some CR that can push-and-pull with her, challenge her a bit on some different levels in some different areas. Maybe some fellow detective buddies re: plot stuff or something.

A lot of Nao's abilities have a lot of potential and can be really fun to play with. I would love to get to the point with some CR where she can comfortably stretch her legs with her psychosomatic illusions especially, maybe take someone to 'visit' her world or experience some of the cool, crazy stuff she can do and think up outside of combat usage! Or inside it. "Or" can be "and". My dear sweet bros, she can even enhance your training exercises, give you something to rail against.

Monthly Plans: A TDM TL will go up tonight. Green Team, be there. I'm happy to plot and write up closed starters or hit TLs, too. Nao is Green Team, probably going HARD re: the TDM activities, absolutely complaining about the heat, getting dehydrated and passing out at least once, lying on the grass complaining her legs hurt and telling people to carry her, etc. in between activities. She likes to play, but she's still largely an inside nerd and tech addict deprived. Her inner outside nerd is still an infant.

Other than surprising Hoshina with a thing and TLing on Sleepr, I don't have much on the docket. Nao's due for a memory retaining/staying here/interworld travel/plot related network post, which I'm considering for this month. I need to get with Ryn and Candace about the donut taste testing party to figure out if/when we're gonna roll that out. I want to time things well for everyone so no one feels they have to pick and choose between the things going on if they want to participate.

I hope you're feeling better now! As for Jean and Nao, yes, absolutely. It might be best to handwave our older thread and run with something new so things are fresher. We've got a lot we can play with this month, too.
