[Red Son is certainly picking up on it. He's gotten pretty good at picking it out. It was usually those humans he tried to train under, wanting to know what kind of things they discovered. Unfortunately, many would often fall between the cracks. It was always a frustrating thing to see. He already knew most immortals never saw the point in the "humanity's little machines," and it was irksome to see even the MORTALS not see what kind of treasure trove of potential they tossed aside.]

[He can only wonder how much frustration Varian has experienced. He always hated it for the mortals he saw, and for himself when he realized he has a talent for machines, only to have most of those long lived beings act like its some petty little hobby.]

Hot water is better than cold water, running water is better than pumps for accessibility of amounts, and when you're cutting people open for surgeries, you want as clean a space as possible and you want to be as clean as possible while healing from injuries. Your skin filters out a lot of nasty things that can cause problems, so when its that open, its very dangerous. Easier to clean, less complications that can happen when the body has been compromised.

There's also a lot more things about biohazards and vectors for transferring diseases, but that gets to be a very lengthy discussion and one I'd probably need notes for. I have less concern with my biology, so its mostly what I've picked up over the years.

But humans were certainly dying a lot less after plumbing became a standard.
