Welcome to our February CR meme! This post is our monthly CR meme for everyone, an OOC intro for our New Players and also serves as a place to make some plans for our next event which will go live on February 15th. Below you will see the Event planning form as well as an Event Outline for our upcoming event.

A Royal Audience

• A Royal Forum is being held in Stellari where Seravo himself will appear - Dreamers are encouraged to attend
• There is food and drink, mingling is encouraged
• Seravo announces that he will be returning the powers that Dreamers sacrificed during the November event
• Throughout the month, Dreamers who sacrificed their regained abilities will feel the powers slowly begin to return, and they will have returned fully by the New Moon
• Seravo opens the forum to questions - one question will be allowed per character, with short Servo threads in response; please keep IC questions to IC knowledge

Flower Petal Affliction
cw: disease, blood, body horror

• Dreamers who are withholding something important / hiding a secret will develop a cough and begin to feel sick
• Locals are aware of the disease and warn that it will progress quickly unless the truth is told
• The afflicted feel symptoms such as fever, headache, weakness, difficulty breathing, and a persistent cough which produces flower petals and blood, as roots grow in the lungs
• The disease also causes increased feelings of mistrust for the people around you
• The afflicted WILL die if the disease is not cured, and it can only be cured by confessing the afflicted's hidden truths

Crystal Corruption

• Corrupted clusters of crystal begin appearing in the swamp, where local workers are stationed, tasked with destroying it - Dreamers are asked to help
• Getting close to the corrupted crystal will cause feelings of mistrust to grow between the Dreamers working together, worsening the longer they are exposed
• Dreamers must work in pairs of twos or threes to clear corrupted crystal
• Dreamers will help remove corrupted crystal from the swamp by either crushing clusters, helping snakes who are afflicted with the crystal, skimming the waters for crystal clusters, or removing crystal clusters from trees
• Crystal clusters are collected in small bags that are to be returned in exchange for a small amount of cords (up to three bags)
• Crystal clusters are also appearing in Lumindeas, which Dreamers are also asked to help clear
• Crystal rings (similar to fairy rings) can only be cleared by two Dreamers standing in the middle and telling a truth
• Crystal in the woods can only be cleared without using magic
• Domestic animals are infected with the crystal and must have it cleared, as well as wolves from the woods, which much be healed so they don't spread the parasite
• Those who clear the crystal in town are asked to bring them to a purification dance, where they will be paired up and taught a dance similar to the tango; it increases trust between the partners

Truth & Trust

• The Uweih religion is holding truth & trust exercises at the gold crystal to promote healing from the flower petal disease
• The event has the atmosphere of a festival, with music, food, games, and other pageantry
• Dreamers are encouraged to participate in activities such as trust falls, telephone, two truths & a lie, etc. (there will be a list of activities and directions for how they work)
• Participating in these activities will help Dreamers start to feel better if they are afflicted with the disease, but only if they've addressed the hidden truth that is making them sick

There will be a header comment for all questions aimed at Seravo on the event post. The NPC will be available for one question per player. In order to keep the tag load manageable, the threads may be kept fairly short. Seravo reserves the right to ignore or talk around any question he doesn't want to answer. Only those who attend the Audience can ask questions of Seravo.

All questions/thread starters should be posted before February 18th 11:59pm CST. After the end of February, any threads with the NPC will be considered wrapped.

Kenma Kozume

Character Name: Kenma Kozume
Canon: Haikyuu!!
Character Age: 18
General Info: Anxious, quiet, a dedicated #Gamer. Kenma was on the steady path to being a shut in E-boy, but he had a friend to encourage him to join the volleyball team and slowly made more friends and came out of his shell a bit. He's our B/C narrative of the series, and probably one of the more relatable characters. Kenma isn't super fast, he can't jump stupidly high nor is he particularly strong or tall, he gets sick easily and he prefers quiet time alone or with a few close people. Much like his symbolic cat nature, he can be a lil spooky, cute, or oddly handsome in the right energy. Mostly just lanky and tired. This is fine.

TLDR Kenma is just one of the most normal guy that ever guy'd. What the heck is he even doing here?

State Of: Still missing a leg, and missing some friends/CR. He's settled down a bit since the disappearance of his boyfriend of nearly a year back in December but... Ooof. It's been rough. The arcade has been moved to the new place for now, still very much open as a place for new CR but also for others to visit and use in their own threads. It's one of the few modern tech business around so by all means, have fun with it!

CR Desires/RP Wishlist: While Kenma can be prompted into interaction he works best with people who will drag him into things, otherwise he'll just be sitting around gaming every day. The exception to this is anyone/thing that really catches his interest. So with that in mind the general vibe is:

• The juxtaposition CR: I love this, honestly. Kenma is as normal as normal comes and in a world where everyone's a protagonist/god/wizard/AI etc, he's there as the shockingly normal guy that's just trying to live his best life and enjoy it while he can. He has no powers or super skills. He makes for a great damsel in distress for you hero types, a chillout vibe giver for the stressed people.
• Friendly Presence: Kenma's laissez faire nature and quirky personality is direct and to the point. He's easy to hang out with because he's open about what he wants and is interested in, and doesn't care too much about appearances or backgrounds. This makes him work really well with characters that might normally feel judged or unwanted, or worried that people only want to be around them when they're getting something. Kenma doesn't need anything from you, he's very fine to just spend his time alone, so if he lets you hang out with him it's because he wants you there too, and that's very obvious!
  
  If you're looking for someone accepting and chill, Kenma's your cat!
• Romance/Intimacy: I'm literally always a sucker for fast or slowburn relationships, FWB, or platonic intimacy/affection. Whether it happens naturally or we pull our little writer puppet strings and 'strongly encourage' it via things like magical effects or convenient meet cutes. Kenma knows that his time here is limited and anyone can disappear at any moment; his solution has been to embrace loving people while they're around.


• Slice of Life: Honestly I will always do these threads. Just two dorks being cozy playing games together? Sharing a drink and a chat? Talking about life or not talking at all and doing something domestic like cooking or going for a walk? Yes please!

Non-Event Plans: None at the moment, though I may do a catchall log for him if there's interest.

Event Plans:

• Royal Audience: Kenma will have a question! But again, probably not a big CR driver here.
• Flower Petal Affection: He doesn't really keep secrets. but he will be v concerned about friends of his who may be suffering. If they want a trusting ear to tell that secret to, he's around!


• Crystal Corruption: He might do some general help here, not strong ideas. It sounds like a lot of work for his tired introvert sensibilities. Unclear how the dreamers will find out about the solutions.
• Truth and Trust: Hmhmhm! He'll probably get involved in this. Lighthearted CR here is always welcome, come have cozy trust developing moments with Kenma. :>

Obviously I'm trying to get her to pop over to see how he's doing! We can have them do trust things, and I WAS also planning to have her get sick with Flower Petal, connected to a secret that actually DOES involve him!

OR. He sees her during the Royal Audience, because soon after, Luz gets her glyphs back1 Obviously she's going to want to share that with people she cares a lot about!
