• OOC INTRO + EVENT PLANNING •

Welcome to the game, newbies! To our current dreamer crew, welcome to our next event! This post will act as an OOC intro for new players, a CR meme for everyone, and a place to make some plans for our next event which will go live on November 17th and end November 30th. Below you will see the CR meme form as well as a Event Outline for our upcoming event. As this month also contains a 4th wall element, I have also included a section to explain this element.

• 4th Wall •

Welcome to our 4th wall styled event! This event will be open to anyone on dreamwidth to participate in, though mods will have the final say. 4th wall characters, or "visitors" will appear throughout the city of Somnius upon the start of the event. Upon the conclusion, all Visitors will be gone. Perhaps temporarily should our 4th wall friends decide to apply in January or another time! 4TH Wall Participation Rules and Requirements

• No Doubles. If a character is already in game, another version cannot be played as a 4th wall "Visitor".
• CRAU & AU are both allowed (with the exception of doubles)
• Our One Month rule stands for playable content. A canon/chapter/episode/etc must have been released for one month as of the beginning of the event to be eligible for play.
• Players intending to 4th wall MUST post a plotting comment and link it in our Visitor directory.
• Players who do not want to post a top level simply need to fill out a comment under the Visitor directory with their Name and Contact Information. Their header should be the character they intend to play and the canon.
• Current players may also play 4th wall characters. There is no limit to how many characters one can play in the event.

Visitors Arrive

• Cracks and tears in Vaeros’ barrier appear and mysterious Visitors appear all over the city of Somnius
• Other than the mysterious arrival of these Visitors nothing really seems awry, though Visitors that arrive in this manner are easily identified by a gold cuff bracelet around their left wrist that cannot be removed by any means.
• Prompts included will facilitate interacting with the setting and locale while giving new players a chance to explore the setting as it is normally
• Visitors do not remember a contract with Vaeros or a wish being made. Curious.

Control Slips

• Over time, the setting starts to break and things stop working as they normally have
• Strange weather effects occur all over and at the same time. Blizzards, heavy rains, heatwaves.
• Night and Day begin to swap over and over again. Somtiemes it’s day for a few hours, then twilight and day again. There’s no rhyme or reason to it
• The chaos will bring visits from creatures previously fought by the dreamers including the shadow wolves, the fireys and the IRS.

  OOC Note: Linked TDM plotting posts are for reference of these mentioned creatures only.

• Cracks in the island form, spreading and causing ravines that seem to drop clear to inferna... These cracks will appear all over, including in Somnius but will not disturb places marked as homes.

Returning Magic

• Vaeros appears as an image in the sky, his face painted across the sunset sky and starry nights. He demands repayment if Dreamers wish to survive.
• Dreamers are given the option to go to the crystal and pray, returning rewards they have been given with earned shards to repower Vaeros.

  OOC NOTE: The rewards that can be sacrificed can ONLY be powers or high stakes items that facilitate character abilities. Regains to housing, mundane items and similar are not valid. Anything that is voluntarily sacrificed during this event will be returned at a later time via another event and cannot be regained with shards in the meantime.

• Dreamers that sacrifice these regain will temporarily be granted an extra potion power during the event that can be utilized at full power to help others in their efforts to save Visium.

Working Together

• Natives are the key to relieving the issues throughout Visium in the meantime. They are highly keen to encourage interaction between Dreamers and Visitors
• Interacting and working together in groups mixed with Visitors and Dreamers will soothe issues and heal ravines/cracks in the ground.
• Natives have set up tasks to facilitate this, sending visitors and dreamers across Visium to complete quests.
• By the time the event is scheduled to close and enough magic is returned to Vaeros to control his land, visitors begin to flicker and disappear. They leave behind their gold bracelets.

About Me: GMT+8! Future-ian here. I work regular office hours and probably get half my tags done at work. Honestly RP is my major hobby so I'm almost always keen for more threads and tags. I love music, especially folk/alt and jazz. A little bit of gaming, from Hades to we fishing, a bit of FF14 (on pause). When it comes to games and media its really just anything I can watch/play with someone! The exception is phone games. I'm so deep in ensemble stars and Pokemon TCG pocket/sleep rn! 😅

Kenma Kozume | Haikyuu!!

Character Name: Kenma Kozume
Canon: Haikyuu!!
Character Age: 18
General Info: Quiet, introverted, low energy and poor strength/stamina, notoriously anxious and obsessed with video games. What's he doing in a sports anime? Uh, good question to be honest. In a place like Somnius Kenma is a shockingly average, normal guy.

Housing Plans: Cottage with Sunny, Aubrey, and Xie Lian (+several animals), and his Treehouse with Atsushi. Two places to keep options open, and he already spent the shards on upgrading one.

Desired CR: All of it, throw it at me. Kenma works well with people who can do little bit of interacting. Maybe we need to set the scene/situation right, but as long as the other person isn't outright ignoring him or disengaging/telling him to leave we should be fine. He's not gonna force himself on people that don't want him around so he'll leave the scene pretty quickly if it's clear he's not wanted.

Event Plans: Gonna engage a fair amount on this one, major points below-
- Yes, I am open to 4th Wall characters, if anything I'd encourage them
- I'd like Kenma to take on some of the helping out quests to pair up fun CR and maybe meet some new people!
- The Shadow wolves will be coming for him and there is going to be some angst at last.

RP Wishlist:
- HURT COMFORT. Yes, more of it!
- ANGST, also yes, more of it, I've been waiting ages for a decent event to get Kenma real hurt and this is probably the last chance this year. Come save him, or make it worse, what have you. He is prime damsel in distress material but also there is going to be some unavoidable damage for those sweet angsty threads.
- Slice of life and chilling out scenes are great and easy, if you're new come visit the arcade, or if you're old come meet him there again!
- Optional flirting scenes, maybe? Honestly kindof fun, Kenma is way more handsome than he believes he is when he's not being a little gremlin, but if he's comfortable around you can return a flirt surprisingly well.

Yes, hello, hi. I have one (1) supernatural teenaged girl who doesn't know there's an arcade here and needs to know there's an arcade here and needs somebody to play videogames with before she shrivels up and wastes away before our very eyes. She's also an energetic personality, the type to grab your arm and bully/drag you to do fun things with her, so if I'm reading right, she and Kenma might be a good fit for CR.

Although she can be a bit much...

Kenma would be very happy to help guide Mao to the bastion of technology and distraction that is the arcade. Depending on "when" she's from, there might even be some newer stuff, since Kenma's tech spans to about 2016-17!

If it helps Kenma's been here long enough that he's kindof used to 'weird', and usually chill enough that he's not judgemental so I do agree, I think they'd be a great fit for CR! It looks like she's got some fun quirks that would be neat to explore too!

Oh, she is a quirky, quirky girl and exploration is /chefkiss. Nao is from around mid-2017 herself and will be so glad to meet a kindred spirit. When do you think you'd like to kick things off? I'm still drawing up prompts in her arrival log that runs from like... 11/8-11/15 if you'd like to do something there? I'm open to any suggestions!

This is excellent! I love quirky weird characters and surprisingly normal nerds. And Kenma would love to meet more people from 'modern' day Japan, talking about familiar things!

I can get things started pretty quickly, was gonna get Kenma's event log written up once I see the event details in full, but there should be some fun opportunities for her to jump in for gaming/drama/hunger etc.

But I think I'll come hit up her arrival log first if you've got that ready! It'd be good to give them a more casual introduction to get through that first-meeting awkwardness. :>

Catra | She-Ra: atPoP

Canon: SheRa and the princesses of Power
Character Age: 20~ish
General Info: *deep breath*
Okay so Catra is one of the primary antogonists of the series, there is no short way to break it down so I'll give you the mostly spoiler free TLDR: Abandonment issues and trauma cause local stray cat to absolutely break down and hurt people.

Housing Plans: Look don't ask where she's staying you wont like the answer, currently doesn't trust anyone as far as she can throw them.

Desired CR: She's fairly new so honestly come at me. People she can tease of mess around with are always good, people who try and become her friend without too much pressure is sweet, and anyone who can pull the emotion/trauma out of her is A+++. There's so much trauma bonding and hurt comfort to be done here oh boy. If you want to antagonize her also please do.

Initial Plans: A lot of mischief and sabotaging, she's gonna try and work things out on her own like always.

Event Plans: uhhhhh, good question. A few thoughts.
- Finding newbies and teasing/pranking them a little.
- Manipulating and information digging where she can.
- Begrudgingly supplying a little bit of healing to people hurt, if she thinks they're worth it
- Probably getting chased by wolves or something. Man it sucks being a cat here. Potential for injury or drama enjoyed, with Catra being the victim or the rescuer here.

RP Wishlist: I really want to feed Catra's paranoia for a bit, you know, make things worse before they can get better. That said? Giving her someone she might actually call a friend is a challenge you can certainly aspire to. The lack of Horde/Adora has done a lot to leave her a bit calmer (if emotionally distant).

It very depends on who because she has Negative CR with... uh. ALL of them, and when they come from, but it could be fun!

Doesn't she just give everyone so many reasons to like her?? But yeah, my offering would be the one and only Scorpia. I've played her post-canon in the past, but I'm thinking of dialing it back to as early as just post-"Princess Scorpia" when she's just left the Horde and so would have conflicted feelings seeing Catra again that she might try to mask with her usual cheer. It's okay if that doesn't work for you, just thought I'd check the possibility!
