Welcome to the game, newbies! To our current dreamer crew, welcome to our next event! This post will act as an OOC intro for new players, a CR meme for everyone, and a place to make some plans for our next event which will go live on November 17th and end November 30th. Below you will see the CR meme form as well as a Event Outline for our upcoming event. As this month also contains a 4th wall element, I have also included a section to explain this element.

• 4th Wall •

Welcome to our 4th wall styled event! This event will be open to anyone on dreamwidth to participate in, though mods will have the final say. 4th wall characters, or "visitors" will appear throughout the city of Somnius upon the start of the event. Upon the conclusion, all Visitors will be gone. Perhaps temporarily should our 4th wall friends decide to apply in January or another time! 4TH Wall Participation Rules and Requirements

• No Doubles. If a character is already in game, another version cannot be played as a 4th wall "Visitor".
• CRAU & AU are both allowed (with the exception of doubles)
• Our One Month rule stands for playable content. A canon/chapter/episode/etc must have been released for one month as of the beginning of the event to be eligible for play.
• Players intending to 4th wall MUST post a plotting comment and link it in our Visitor directory.
• Players who do not want to post a top level simply need to fill out a comment under the Visitor directory with their Name and Contact Information. Their header should be the character they intend to play and the canon.
• Current players may also play 4th wall characters. There is no limit to how many characters one can play in the event.

Visitors Arrive

• Cracks and tears in Vaeros’ barrier appear and mysterious Visitors appear all over the city of Somnius
• Other than the mysterious arrival of these Visitors nothing really seems awry, though Visitors that arrive in this manner are easily identified by a gold cuff bracelet around their left wrist that cannot be removed by any means.
• Prompts included will facilitate interacting with the setting and locale while giving new players a chance to explore the setting as it is normally
• Visitors do not remember a contract with Vaeros or a wish being made. Curious.

Control Slips

• Over time, the setting starts to break and things stop working as they normally have
• Strange weather effects occur all over and at the same time. Blizzards, heavy rains, heatwaves.
• Night and Day begin to swap over and over again. Somtiemes it’s day for a few hours, then twilight and day again. There’s no rhyme or reason to it
• The chaos will bring visits from creatures previously fought by the dreamers including the shadow wolves, the fireys and the IRS.

  OOC Note: Linked TDM plotting posts are for reference of these mentioned creatures only.

• Cracks in the island form, spreading and causing ravines that seem to drop clear to inferna... These cracks will appear all over, including in Somnius but will not disturb places marked as homes.

Returning Magic

• Vaeros appears as an image in the sky, his face painted across the sunset sky and starry nights. He demands repayment if Dreamers wish to survive.
• Dreamers are given the option to go to the crystal and pray, returning rewards they have been given with earned shards to repower Vaeros.

  OOC NOTE: The rewards that can be sacrificed can ONLY be powers or high stakes items that facilitate character abilities. Regains to housing, mundane items and similar are not valid. Anything that is voluntarily sacrificed during this event will be returned at a later time via another event and cannot be regained with shards in the meantime.

• Dreamers that sacrifice these regain will temporarily be granted an extra potion power during the event that can be utilized at full power to help others in their efforts to save Visium.

Working Together

• Natives are the key to relieving the issues throughout Visium in the meantime. They are highly keen to encourage interaction between Dreamers and Visitors
• Interacting and working together in groups mixed with Visitors and Dreamers will soothe issues and heal ravines/cracks in the ground.
• Natives have set up tasks to facilitate this, sending visitors and dreamers across Visium to complete quests.
• By the time the event is scheduled to close and enough magic is returned to Vaeros to control his land, visitors begin to flicker and disappear. They leave behind their gold bracelets.

About Me: GMT+8, the saddest of timezones. Woe be upon me. Character Age: 30+
General Info: Dolph’s story is a typical one. He grew up on the streets, joined the military for a better life, got horribly injured and then became a cyborg supersoldier and the face of a fascist dystopic company. However, he realized they Sucked and ditched them. However, due to not paying his medical bills, he was being hunted as Eden’s property and they sent the state police after him. Isn’t capitalism fun?

On the outside, Dolph is an incredibly taciturn and blunt person, verging on rude and sarcastic. He doesn’t have much experience with friends or family and has been betrayed over and over again, which makes it hard for him to open up to anyone. He just wants to live a peaceful life, preferably with a nice boyfriend and have no one kill him or sell him to the highest bidder. Life goals. He is kinder and more compassionate than he lets on, he just lacks any emotional acuity to go with it.

Desired CR:
❖ Friends! Especially those who can stomach some rudeness and bluntness on his behalf. He can warm up to people, it just takes time so people who can handle that would be great!
❖ Coworkers for his club. Who needs a job, come get one.
❖ People from tech friendly/sci-fi worlds! Dolph will be at a loss with all the magic stuff, so anyone who can lend a hand or understands what he’s been through would be great.
❖ People willing to put up with someone who is very blunt and unsure of himself.

dazai's a maifoso and tends to speak his mind freely so blunt personalities don't bother him all that much. he can pretty much roll with whatever.

yep! he's there with odasaku a lot, so you can also catch him just hanging around waiting for bestie to show up... we might be able to mix it in with the crazy weather given the random freak storms. i see that dolph is going to be going through it on the whole with it, and then on dazai's side he has to dip in somewhere.

General Info: Izutsumi is an engineered beastkin. She has a human soul and an animal soul. Her upbringing was rough due to that and so Izutsumi seeks a way to break free of her curse — not realizing there is no way out for her. There's no place where she begins and the cat ends. They're the same. She's stubborn, hissy and deadpan due to being a teenager AND a cat but she is nicer than she looks and willing to give people a chance.

I have one (1) similarly aged person descended from a spider goddess who is not an open book and may have heritage issues and loves cats in general and would put up with a selfish cat-person, especially if she can at any point give pets. Nao cannot cook to save her life and would probably endanger both of theirs trying to do so, but she can order them food? She's also new, so there's that.

General Info: Qifrey is a witch who teaches magic to four students. He is an eloquent, well-meaning sort of person who always has time to offer a kind smile or support. However, Qifrey is nursing a Grudge of immeasurable proportions which pushes him to do things that put his life in jeopardy. Thankfully, he doesn’t care much about it!!

General Info: Date is a dry and wry detective who would rather look at porn mags and appreciate hot women than he would solve a case. He's terrible with everyone and it shows. He's an excellent detective but also incredible dense and oblivious at times. He adopts young girls unknowingly. He usually has an AI in his eye who drives him nuts. Let him irritate you.
