For new players, welcome to the game! And for current players, thanks for sticking around! This post will act as an ooc intro for new players, a CR meme for everyone, and a place to make some plans for our second Dream Event which will go live on February 12th. You're more than welcome to get a head start and make closed logs for your plotting.

Below you will see the CR meme form + the Dream Event in all of its entirety. This dream event is inspired by the world of Alice in Wonderland. If you'd like to opt out of this plot, assume your character is just hanging out in the normal Somnius without any recognition of what is going on in the Dream Event like the locals are doing. more explanation of that is in the event itself! This event will ICly run from February 18th — 26th.

Curiouser and Curiouser

There is no doubting that a tension has grown amongst those who have been in Visium the longest. This time last year, all hell had broken loose. Veterans have made their preparations, passing off dire warnings of red moons and terrible transformations.

Yet the days on the calendar slip by. Those that have kept meticulous track of the comings and goings of strange tidings will note that nothing happens when it should. The moon rises normally, and sets just the very same. Valentine’s Day passes by without an issue, allowing the romantics of Somnius to carry out their plans with little issue — save for their own self-inflicted fumblings, perhaps.

But peace is a thing that cannot last, and certainly not here.

One night, in the wee hours of the morning, something shifts. To the dreamers, it could feel like shifting just slightly to the left, or missing a step going down the stairs. It’s a small thing, but a thing nonetheless. And as the sun rises, those that step outside will see just how much the world has changed. While the labyrinth still exists in the distance, the castle at its heart now distinctly different, and better fit for a queen. Beyond its grasp, new walls and barriers have formed to create an entirely new maze dragging you and everything you recognize into it. From your very home, to the cliffs at the edge of town, the trees in the enchanted forest and even the businesses you frequent are all now part of the winding, wondrous game.

“Eat Me”

No matter where you go, trouble seems to follow. In addition to the halls of their home becoming winding and circular, those that choose to hunker down may find even more trouble afoot. Cooking and eating become their own exercises in wariness. In one moment, the carefully prepared breakfast platter on your table might seem just that. The second you blink, however, a stray sign might appear, one labeled with a simple directive: “Eat Me.” Even the most eagle eyed of dreamers might miss it, with how quick the signs seem to appear.

Taking a bite will make the trouble instantly known. The dreamer will begin to change, impacted by a variety of transformative effects. The only way to change back is to keep eating. If the fried eggs you prepared made you tall, then you’ll have to hope the bacon will make you small. Just be careful of the toast — it almost seems to be grinning at you.

With each food now its own potential peril, dreamers will need to be wary. Their next bite could have any number of consequences.

EFFECTS (click to expand)

• Growing and Shrinking: One minute you’re normal sized, the next you’ve grown to bump your head against the roof of your house. Or perhaps it’s the opposite, and now you can no longer reach the countertops. Better hope you can find something to reverse the effect, and that it won’t just make things worse.
• Speaking in Rhyme: With just one bite, you’ll be in quite the plight. Everything you say will have to rhyme at the end of the day. Just don’t use the word orange!
• Split into Twins: One becomes two, and with a blink you find yourself looking into a living, breathing mirror. Perhaps this twin is one born of Wonderland and its strange, winding logic. Alternatively, you may just start to feel like half of yourself now. Where one twin might embody the fun-loving side of a dreamer, the other may reflect their fears or anxieties.
• Near Invisibility: One minute you’re there, the next you’re gone — mostly. A passing glance at your reflection might show the curve of your mouth or the span of your teeth. How absolutely mad…
• Strange Transformations: The residents of Wonderland are strange folk indeed, and now you’ll fit right in. Perhaps your head will grow larger, even as your body remains the same size. Will your features grow wider, your smile sharper? Are those feathers now spanning from your shoulders? Rabbit ears atop your head? Whiskers on your cheeks? It’s hard to say without looking in the mirror…

Who. Are. You?

Within the impossible and absurd maze that has consumed Somnius, there are a few recurring faces that can be found… pretty much anywhere except for the Looking-Glass realm, though some have their preferences and tendencies. They will always be perfectly sized for the part of the maze where they’re found.

Yes, that means some of them will be in your house. But you have more important things to worry about, don't you?

Some will be more persistent in others in getting you to engage with the wonder and whimsy of this strange world. Most will not be outright malicious, but they all have their own tricks to be played. Whether the dreamer falls for their wiles will be up to you, just as getting away from whatever plans they have will fall solely to the dreamer and their allies.

• The Caterpillar: A massive talking caterpillar, twice as long as a human. He will always be found seated comfortably in some foliage, smoking a hookah pipe. If you approach him, he will be very willing to answer any questions you have about Wonderland! Unfortunately, his answers will be painfully slow, tedious, and meandering, and he will get very cross if you interrupt him, try to keep him on-target, or don’t pay attention. Agitate him enough and he may lose his place and start over from the beginning. Maybe his advice isn’t worth it…
• The White Rabbit: A rabbit in a waistcoat, forever consulting a list and a pocket watch. He will never be rude if spoken to, but he will not have time to speak- he’s dallied far too long, and he has another appointment coming. Any attempt to follow him is likely to end in you stumbling into a rabbit hole and being deposited, back at your normal size, in the Garden.
• Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum: Always encountered together (And one of the few who are likely to be found in the Looking-Glass realm), this youthful pair will do their best to guide and direct Dreamers! Unfortunately, they never quite seem to agree on how best to do it. Their instructions will be confusing and contradictory, and the longer you spend trying to clarify the problem and work it out, the more likely it is to devolve into a fully-fledged fight between the two. Any attempt to separate them or pick sides, however, will unify them against you, and they’ll become hostile. If you attempt to follow their directions, you’re likely to stumble into a Looking Glass.
• The Hatter: A peculiar little man with a massive top hat. He can be found at any social gathering, though he is most particularly fond of a good tea party. Of all the denizens of Wonderland, he manages the unique feat of being crazy and incomprehensible even by their standards. In addition to being rude, loud, and socially clueless, he will constantly derail any conversation with his baffling non-sequiturs and bizarre logical leaps until nobody’s quite sure what was originally being talked about.
• The March Hare: Often found with the Hatter, but not always. He’s not quite as demented as his friend, but he is extremely outgoing and gregarious, always eager to involve you in whatever events are going on and very bad at picking up on disinterest or negative responses- he’ll just creatively reinterpret them so that you’re agreeing to whatever he’s pushing you into. And really, you don’t want to be rude, do you?
• The Dodo: He will never be found alone, but always in animated discussion with another of Wonderland’s unusual residents. He has a terrible habit of interjecting himself into other conversations- even between Dreamers- and offering his profound insights and opinions, often in as verbose and pompous a fashion as he can manage. As if this wasn’t bad enough, he often misspeaks and misuses his words, makes solutions that resolve exactly nothing, and even says things that are outright wrong.
• The Queen of Hearts: Never found without an entire retinue of armed and deadly playing cards, the Queen is one of Wonderland’s most feared residents. She’s ill-tempered and unpleasant at the best of times. She insists on joining in any games, often cheats, and then gets angry when she loses. Call her out on her cheating, defeat her at a game, or even have too much conversation that doesn’t center around her- along with any of a number of other trivial ‘sins’- and there’s a good chance she’ll have her guards try to arrest you and take you back to her castle to stand trial.

I Have An Excellent Idea.

No matter where you try to go within this so-called “Wonderland,” there always seems to be one face that crops up. A rather… eccentric hare — one that walks on its hind legs and is brown in color — seems quite keen on cajoling dreamers into joining his strange activities. No matter what excuses you offer up, he seems more than keen on talking around them.

Even if you leave the creature behind, he seems keen to follow. Losing him in the maze will only work for so long. Eventually, you’ll find him once more — or perhaps, he’ll find you. No matter where you go, he’s found something for you to do. When you finally do relent, and who could really say no to that continued insistence, he’ll lead the way to wherever you need to be. Eventually, you’ll come upon the very event he’s talked up. Perhaps it’s some sort of game, or even a party. It could even be a –

Hold on. Did he just say “trial date?”

• Tea Party: Within the maze-like walls of the garden, one might stumble onto a garden tea party. Any of the colorful inhabitants of Wonderland might be here, along with various speaking animals depending on the size of the party. You’re more than welcome to join! Nothing is forcing you to sit down, of course, though some particularly eager party guests might try to talk you into it. If you do, however, it will be very difficult to break away from the conversation- the more you try to excuse yourself, the more insistently you’ll be distracted, redirected, and talked over. Best to just enjoy the tea party, though of course none of the tea will ever make it to you.
• A Game: The denizens of Wonderland may not always be much fun, but they do enjoy games and contests! You might find yourself invited- perhaps coerced- to any of a number of activities, ranging from croquet (A word of advice, flamingos make terrible mallets), chess with the players as pieces (Don’t assume the rules are the same as you’re used to), contests of riddles or poetry (One might find that the riddles and poems don’t make much sense, though, even their own) or races and other challenges (Specifically constructed so nobody actually competes and everybody is declared the winner)
• The Court: Whether you were arrested and dragged here or stumbled in on your own power, anybody who comes to the castle that stands in the center of the original labyrinth will be put on trial! The Queen of Hearts demands it, and she insists on prosecuting all trials- mercifully, she doesn’t judge the cases herself. The court is instead presided over by her husband, the King of Hearts. The trials, like everything else in Wonderland, run on what might charitably be described as ‘insane troll logic,’ and the arguments and evidence presented are spurious at best and nonsensical at worst, and the sentence is always decapitation! Better hope you can convince the King to commute your sentence.

Only the Things Go the Other Way!

No matter where you go, there are always mirrors and holes to be found. Some are big, some are small. While the holes seem to whisper to you with the wind that blows through, the mirrors seem to distort your reflection. Wherever you are, be it wandering your own home or getting lost in the even more impenetrable Enchanted Forest, two young twins may find you.

“They ain’t no danger, no how.” They say of the mirrors and rabbit holes. “Perfectly safe is what they is.”

It doesn’t matter if you take them at your word or find yourself otherwise enticed. One way or another, you’ll find yourself in front of the mirror, or perhaps shrunken down in front of a rabbit’s hole.

If you touch the mirror, you’ll find that the surface is cool to the touch and, does it bend beneath you? Once your hand is through, it’s only a matter of time before the rest follows, like diving through a pool of crystalline water.

If you step through the rabbit hole, you’ll find yourself enveloped in inky black darkness. There is no way to go but forward, toward a faint speck of light that grows brighter with each step.

Reach through or push through — either way you will find yourself in a world both identical to and entirely different than the one you’ve just come from. Here, there is no labyrinth. The castle, both the one you’re used to and this new one that’s appeared are gone. The town and its patrons have all vanished, leaving nothing but tall trees and bushes in its stead. This world is wild and untouched by any who might have sought to leave its mark.

Wild as the land is, it means you’re not alone. Fearsome beasts like the wild Jubjub Birds or the Frumious Bandersnatches call these abandoned lands their home. They’ve longed for fresh meat, and now here you are. You can fight them if you wish, or you can run for your life. They will pursue you doggedly until you find a place to hide. As long as they have your scent, though, only one thing will call them off the hunt — the call of the Jabberwock, most fearsome of all.

While the others can be warded off or even killed, the Jabberwock cannot. Only a sword of magical make can fell the beast. If you aren’t carrying one with you? Tough luck. Better find a place to lay low.

It isn’t all bad news, though. If you just so happened to have carried any of the strange food through with you, you’re in luck. Eating it once more will reverse the effects, but only if you chance taking another bite. There’s plenty of other food around, too, if you do decide to try your luck. The berry bushes don’t seem poisonous, and the nuts from the trees seem normal enough. These, too, have the power to transform and to change. If you fail to find anything you trust enough to eat, though, fear not. The occasional cake or scone can be found on a stray stump, up high on a branch, or settled against a stone. They all still carry the same message as before. “Eat Me.”

If you can avoid the snatching claws and gnashing teeth of the monsters long enough to take a bite, you may find some relief.

No matter what you decide to do, one thing will be clear. This world is not yours, and you must find your way back. For better or for worse, the same twins that coaxed you into this world will point the way toward more mirrors and stray rabbit holes. Trust them or not, they don’t care. They offer you the same statement as before.

This is such a creative event! I love it. Question - if the Somnius locals aren't in the dreamscape, what's the situation with NPC-run businesses? Are they physically present but closed, or are there Wonderland NPCs taking over for the duration?

Also, would it be possible for a determined character to map the new maze, or does it magically shift about?

General Info: Personified curiosity, as mad as a hatter, and really fond of cats and rabbits. Alice is an incredibly polite little child who asks a million questions... and is also capable of being a persnickety snit. She has "gremlin" mode and it isn't that hard to activate if you say the wrong thing. She loves riddles and chess.

Housing Plans: Alice lives in a cottage with Gamora, Loki, and Ouroboros "O.B.", neighbors with the MHA crew, and over-neighbors with the Princesses and Princes.

Desired CR: Really anything! Alice is very easy to get along with and simultaneously, very easy to piss off and make an "enemy" of. So if you want to be nemesis with a seven-year-old, go for it!

Initial Plans: She attends school and is constantly learning new things when she's not just letting her curiosity take her... everywhere. She is learning to use her sword under Corrin (and other's) tutelage.

Dream Event Plans: AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. SHE'S NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT SORRY.

   EST but with a sporadic schedule. New to DWRP games, not at all new to RPing. When I’m not writing I can be found coding, doodling, and spending an exorbitant amount of time pushing pixels on infoposts.

Character Name: Aubrey
Canon: Omori, a fun little indie game where nothing bad happens. There are some content warnings.
Character Age: 16
General Info:

Teenage girl who was perfectly fine* menacing the neighborhood with her gang until a certain two “friends”† showed up. (*She has not been fine.) (†One of those friends, Sunny, is here! This has made Aubrey extra not-fine.)

In the canon’s main route, Aubrey serves as an antagonist, although she’s capable of reflecting, calming down, and getting along with people. That said, I have taken her from a difficult canon point, because I want to explore where her development might go with more time in different circumstances. Maybe she’ll make new friends against her will! Maybe she’ll get worse! Maybe she’ll make new friends and also get worse! The future is full of possibility.

Housing: Lives alone, like a brooding lonely loner independently in a treehouse, on the side closer to town. It’s a shabby place, but it works for her. Except when the ceiling leaks, but she’ll deal with that.

Desired CR/Initial Plans/RP Wishlist: (I am grouping these because I don’t have any strong plans atm)
Aubrey can be a dramatic jerkass, especially at this canon point. She can be chill and normal, but friendship is a raw nerve right now, and she can’t dodge it forever.
   I’m down to throw her at anyone, especially if it involves lowering her guard somehow (nice people? confusing people?) and/or her prickly defense mechanisms leading to consequences (for instance, she managed to lash out at Sunny already, which I’m sure will not come back to bite at any point later at all ever!). And seeing as Aubrey has a tendency to bail if things go south, using the scenario and/or environment to keep her in an interaction she’d rather not be having could be A+ very swell.

Some potentially-relevant tidbits (in a toggle to make this post marginally less long):

• Aubrey received and drank the blue potion, but has yet to use it. I’d like her to do that at some point!
• Back home, Aubrey leads a “gang”… of kids who kinda just screw around, are loud and showy and debatably obnoxious, but ultimately are a well-meaning bunch of posers. This may or may not come up with younger characters.
• She misses her people a lot and is trying very hard not to drown in it.
• In the mean time, approaching the subject is liable to be like playing Minesweeper, but who knows! Maybe your character can pry stuff out of her. Like shucking a clam.

Overall: negative CR, positive CR, setting fire to budding bridges and watching how they burn, anything in between or nothing like the above, let’s roll.

Dream Event Plans: oh boy these all look fun— In a similar vein as the above, these are more scattered ideas than Solid Plans.

• Eat Me: So, how about ripping out the inner child via Split into Twins? She used to be a sweet and smiley kid! The high-strung version is the Aubrey you normally get. Hooray!(?) Would you like future blackmail material?
• Who. Are. You?: Some version of Aubrey is going to chase the White Rabbit down if it kills her. This will get increasingly frustrating! Hey, you, help corner him; maybe the Power of Teamwork will finally get him this time, Garden deposit cycle be darned. (They won’t catch him.) (The real reward is the bonds strategic alliances we made along the way, right…?)
• I Have An Excellent Idea: Happy-twin Aubrey will enjoy this, to a point; regular-pissed-off-Aubrey will not, right from the getgo. Riot at the tea party (or anywhere else, really), anyone?
• Only the Things Go the Other Way!: Most likely to play reluctant damsel for this; Aubrey can fight a little and might have her nail bat by this point, but she has approximately zero experience fighting monsters that can’t be felled with snowballs. Could also have her help your character out with some (very unpracticed) healing!

Just jotted down some prompts that stuck out to me, but I’m happy to brainstorm anything else!

About Me: Hello! I've been in the game since December with Eren Jaeger from Attack on Titan, and Sunny / Omori from OMORI is new this month! Character Name: Eren Jaeger
Canon: Attack on Titan
Character Age: 15
General Info: Eren is the protagonist of his series, but he's not your typical good boy shonen protag. His core motivations are revenge and the quest for freedom which he will go to great lengths to achieve. He is headstrong, stubborn, and nearsighted. His personality can be quite abrasive, and he doesn't mince words; however, he is also charismatic and attaches to people very quickly. He is extremely loyal, but also emotional and sensitive; perceived betrayals are not easily forgiven, and he hates as strongly as he loves.

Housing Plans: Eren lives in a cottage with his partners, Jean Kirstein & Mikasa Ackerman.

Desired CR: As always, I am looking for any and all CR! As mentioned above, Eren's personality is quite bold and even abrasive, so he might naturally attract negative CR; he is, however, currently trying to make friends and other connections in this world, due to orders from his Captain and from a desire to learn as much as he can about the environment he's in. He is a social kid who isn't afraid to make the first move. Friendly CR would be great, and as much CR from mentor figures as possible would be beneficial to Eren. He is in a state right now where he could use good advice and strong guides to help him find his footing (expanding upon this below in the plans section). As for shipping, I am open to this despite Eren having two established partners! Polyamory, etc., etc..

Initial Plans:[Attack on Titan end series spoilers]
Eren learned when he first arrived that he eventually grows up to destroy 80% of the world's population in his quest for revenge. He is extremely shaken by this revelation; from his current canon point, his core motivation was to save humanity rather than destroy it. His cast as well as other CR has motivated him to try building a life in Somnius, and while he once sought to find and destroy Vaeros, he has recalibrated his focus to learning about Vaeros & the world to try and gain information that will help ensure people can one day come and go as they choose. He is an impassioned kid who needs a battle to fight, and his main priority is freedom for the people of Somnius. He often tries to radicalize characters into caring about the situation they're in, and is seeking advice, knowledge, and allies to help him achieve his goal. His main motivation right now is the desire to stay in Somnius for the rest of his life so he can avoid the future he's been warned about.

Dream Event Plans: I don't have a ton of plans for Eren re: this event right now, but that is what I would love to plot! It seems that this event is more a large environmental change than something with specific plot beats, so I will definitely be playing with several aspects as the event goes on - planning to kind of play it by ear. Eren will be bewildered by the changes in Somnius and will be trying to figure out as much as he can about what's altered their little world.

I am also interested in having him fight off some baddies, so if you're down for that, let's plot here! He doesn't have his titan ability, but he does have fancy anti-personnel ODM gear to fight with. He's definitely reckless and impulsive enough to do things like go down rabbit holes.

RP Wishlist: The character arc I am really pushing toward with Eren is something that will allow him to settle into a life in Somnius. I don't mind negative CR, but I'd love for him to establish some strong ties to characters here and make friends with people who will support him and help teach him to just...be a kid and live his life. Easier said than done for Eren, so it might be a battle! He's already starting to adjust to the idea that this can become his home, but it still feels like a cage to him, so we want to try to get him comfortable and to maybe chill out a little bit.

☆ Nowi is generally willing to befriend anyone, morals aside - as long as they're someone willing to listen to her and take her (semi-)seriously. She likes people who will entertain her and tell her fun stories or play with her, of course!

☆ It's kind of hard to make an enemy of Nowi, but I'm open to negative CR! She just tends to give people the benefit of the doubt.

She loves new experiences and isn't afraid to fling herself headfirst into the unknown, and this sure does sound like something she'll have fun with! I don't plan on posting an open log for this one, so please let me know here if you'd like to do something with her - I'm totally down to write starters for anyone who would like to thread with her!

☆ The denizens of Wonderland are in trouble when it comes to games. Nowi loves games and makes a menace of herself with anyone who wants to play with her. Please spare the poor Wonderland natives from having to spend hours and hours playing games with Nowi because she will try to rope them into shenanigans. Of course, they can rope her into shenanigans as well, so it's really just a disaster all around. Stoic characters who want no part in this being roped in to playtime are a plus!
☆ Nowi has no problems eating strange things (she drank her potion without a second thought smh) so we could do some shenanigans with that! I'm particularly interested in speaking in rhyme, splitting into twins, or the Wonderland transformations, but having characters go through a bunch of them could be fun while trying to find the one that will turn them back to normal!
☆ As far as danger goes, this would be a great opportunity for Nowi to practice her healing magic! She's been slowly learning how to use it, but hasn't really had a good opportunity to put that knowledge into practice, so if you want to be injured, maybe she can help! Without her dragonstone, she's not going to be of much help in a fight, so you can show off and save her, if you'd like.

RP Wishlist: My long-term goal for Nowi is to branch out and learn new skills - whether that's magic or physical ones so she isn't solely reliant on her dragon form. I'd also really like to explore her more mature side, though that's a little harder to do since she would much rather focus on playing around.

General Info: Grog is your textbook himbo berserker. He's real dumb, real strong, and usually pretty nice, except when he goes into a rage and beats the crap out of bad guys. He enjoys drinking and fighting, and also flirting but I don't play smut and am not interested in shipping so I'm not focusing as much on that. He's ride or die for his friends, and is pretty much always down to have either a pint or a sparring match at the drop of a hat. He's functionally illiterate, and uses the text-to-speech function on his Oracle 99% of the time he's interacting with the network, but he's been working on learning to read and write.

Housing Plans: Grog lives in Castle Exandria with the rest of the CritRole folks. He recently purchased his training room from home in the basement, complete with basic weapons, armor, training dummies, etc., and a large brick-lined sand pit (in which Grog now sleeps). So anyone who wants to practice fighting is welcome to come use the space!

Desired CR: I love positive CR: people who will be friends with Grog, encourage him and joke around with him, who will help him practice his letters; and also negative CR: people who will get frustrated at him being so dim-witted, people who are stronger than him (since he doesn't have his canon barbarian abilities) and can kick his ass (in a friendly way).

Initial Plans: Grog doesn't have a job yet, but he does patrol around the village with his axe just in case anyone needs the kind of help he can provide. I may or may not make a network post of him advertising his new training space.

Space adventures followed until I took her to Come Sail Away - Ari's take on her CRAU is that she was kidnapped, imprisoned and tortured by an 'evil genie'. She got out and over here to Lab! Which she likes much better. There's more info in her app and the bio in her journal if you're interested.

Housing Plans: Ari's cottage - not interested in housemates at this point, but neighbors would be fun! I've said she has a well on the edge of her property which might be shared with a neighbor, and she is doing fun things like using a steam-powered pump to create her own plumbing system.

Desired CR: So! I am really trying to get back into RP here (everyone is getting all the backtags today!) and so if we have positive CR but there has been a Tayrey-shaped hole in your character's life lately, I apologise and I want to catch up with everyone. Other than that? Meeting new people is always fun. Ari is part of the volunteer Defense Force, she's way too serious about it and patrols all the time. If it's something you want your character to get into, she can definitely recruit them - either handwavily or poke me for a thread!

Initial Plans: She really hates being idle, so aside from the Defense Force stuff she also teaches astronomy classes at multiple levels. Students very welcome! She runs a business called Sidra that currently has two branches, Flame and Food. The businesses and their NPCs can be mentioned by anyone, it makes my day when I see them pop up in unexpected places!

Dream Event Plans: Okay so I'm not sure whether to put up an open or closed toplevel for this. I want her to Do Things but I'd love input on planning the specifics. Ideas:

- Mapping time! First order of business is attempting to map this new maze. This would probably be a logistical nightmare to play out completely but she might put up a call for volunteers on the network. Edit: Mods say mapping won't work so I probably won't chase this dead end.
- Tea Party! I want her to get stuck at one of these with the Wonderland NPCs, who will keep insisting she can't leave, it'd be very rude to leave. She doesn't even really like tea, but she's trying to be diplomatic. Maybe your character is there with her?
- The Court. Ari on trial, representing herself, trying to argue with normal logic against insane troll logic and getting very frustrated. She's likely to take the decapitation threats seriously. Someone save her - distraction, violent intervention or out-trolling the troll logic all welcome.
- Looking Glass. She'd enjoy exploring this realm if she took her bag of supplies with her. Friends with magical swords welcome, or else the adventuring party can be in luck and avoid anything too dangerous.

RP Wishlist: As she's now back from her update (4 months back home) she feels much more secure and no longer fears being sent back to her dreaded CRAU realm. I'd love to explore that a little more. Canon: Once Upon a Time
Character Age: 250-ish
General Info: Mister Gold is at least to some degree the cause of a lot of the plot in Once Upon a Time, or associated with the causes in some way. A magic user of considerable age and knowledge, he tends to be the authority on how magic works or does not, but that does not mean he welcomely shares said information. The Dark One is often regarded as a trickster, someone who is willing to make a deal with you and offer magic to fix something you need fixed by magical means. But the caveat is that magic always has a price and you have to sit with that if it inevitably goes wrong. The thing is: He's not really a trickster. Magical dealmaker, yes. But in truth the only thing that tricked you was your inability to read fine print, and that is not his responsibility. Is his magic more drawn to desperate people liable to make desperate decisions? Yes. But he did warn you. That was more than what he got.

Gold is gruff and not terribly nice -- and he assumes most people are not nice either and just very good at hiding it. So don't be too put off if he regards you with suspicion at first. But he is conversely drawn to people that show their best regardless. If you're kind to him he won't trust it but he hopes it's real. The trouble is that like most hurt people, he may test those boundaries because he can't trust it's real.

He's a homebody and seems most in his element when he has work to do, and even with magic he thinks some things should be done by hand and appreciated as such. He comes from a time where hunting, growing, and foraging were just ways of life, so since his arrival he has been finding his way with relative ease and without engaging as much in town.

Housing Plans: I am going to put him alone in a little hill house that he has been working on making more livable. There are rain barrels to catch water. He's built little awnings out of tree bark to protect his windows from rain and snow. He knows how to use a fireplace and now to keep small spaces insulated. When it's warm he might start work on building a second entrance, run a little drainage system so that used water isn't eroding the area around anyone and is flowing back to a proper source, and growing an herb garden. He'll have started to get power and plumbing by then but it doesn't hurt to know how to get on without.

Desired CR: Gold is a prickly thing and while I am fine with all kinds of CR I don't need a LOT of negative. Friends and well-meaning meddlers are always welcome. He is very careful around children or anyone he reads as a kid -- they are off limits as far as magic goes as far as he is concerned, and being a father himself he tends to be softer and more patient. His son very recently died, it is why he is here, so he's more of a sadsack that unusual but it also unfortunately means he might displace on other people a little. He likes to be useful in his own way, even if he has a price on his knowledge and abilities. He appreciates the knowledgeable, the brave, the kindhearted. People who know their trade and ply it well. Clever people he as a fondness for. But if you mistreat the weak, are unkind to children, ableist, etc -- just know if he finds the opportunity to screw up your day he will. He holds grudges; if your first impression involved showing your ass he is never going to like you.

Initial Plans: I'd like to start him out doing odd jobs but the most obvious place would be the Tailor's place. Dude makes his own clothes, has always been a prodigy textile maker, and is the genius behind many a legendary fairy tale princess dress, so he's got credentials.

Dream Event Plans: Guess who has been to at least A Wonderland before? He will team up with someone if invited but dude will keep to himself and tread carefully. Even if the Queen of Hearts isn't Cora that's no reason to relax.

RP Wishlist: I want to see him make friends and develop some as a character. He's presently working through a lot of trauma and is a bit difficult to approach from any angle as a result. Healing his ankle would go a long way toward buying some goodwill but it will take him some time to open up. He is interested in learning what he can about this place and figuring out how he got here and why. He also wants his power back -- at this point, in a magic place, the difference between having and not having is a matter of survival.

General Info: Weiss can be both a snarky, rude, bossy and kind of a bitch, who questions and denies everything, but also a gentle and soft young woman, who'll try her best with being there for her friends. She just might make it into a challenge to get to know her and takes her time to warm up to people until she'll trust them enough to let them see behind her cold exterior too. (So in other words; yes, she's a total tsundere).

Former heiress to everything, that usually comes with her last name in the world of Remnant, who then started her own personal riot and rebelled against her father by fighting for her freedom to see the world outside of the walls of her home, and learned that it's a much better place than whatever she had heard about it.

Weiss is a Huntress -- that means she fights against monsters and criminals and she is the W of Team RWBY. But before she met her best friends, Weiss was mostly all alone for years and felt like she was the loneliest of all, but at least she's trying to get more friends social life these days.

Housing Plans: Currently living in her own tree house right next to the rest of her teammates / best friends and treating it more like having her own room there with them.

Desired CR: Anything and everything, really! She's new here and it's pretty easy to get both positive and negative CR with her considering she's not always the nicest person... Or we can start in some negative way and make it into positive CR later, that works too.

Initial Plans: I haven't thought about them much, I tend to roll with whatever happens (what is planning...?) but she could get a job - haven't thought about what that would be either and right now she's still settling in without thinking about that much yet. She knows she at least wants to get her canon abilities back as soon as possible.

Intense Event Plans: ...Hahah, wow, she would love to opt-out but I won't let her do it, so here are a few ideas for everything and I'm happy to plot whatever! Nevermind her complaining a lot and calling this event yet another stupid sequel to a stupid book's stupid sequel aka a STUPID trilogy because absolutely hilariously to me but less so for Weiss? She just arrived from RWBY version of Wonderland and she was so done with all of it back there and now she'll get to go to another version of it! That also means she's been through some of these things for the first time already.

General Info: A powerful Fae who assumed his current form sometime back before the series started properly, played around on Earth and eventually came to meet David Xanatos in the mid 1990s, who he works for under the human disguise as "Owen", the straight man to Xanatos' whole way of living. Puck loves organized chaos, causing mischief and being entertained. He looks at humans the way you might look at [Favorite streaming service here]! They're something to enjoy, watch grow old, and generally "Aw!" over in private. He'll 100% lean into being a trickster for his own amusement or just to be a kind of harsh teacher and if you know Fae legend/myth, he'll be impressed. He's made peace enough with the Shakespeare version of himself and the entire play of Midsummer Night's Dream, but he's not going to find a performance of it to watch any time soon. He returns like with like unless you're an obvious threat.

Housing Plans: Puck still lives in a cottage but has continued decorating it to make it more homely. He’s in his cozy arc at the moment.
Desired CR: Any and all excluding shipping because he and Loki are still in an open relationship, which has recently lead to a love confession from Puck. Cute shippy things are still on the menu, but now it's less "selling this lie" and more "oh wait no we care about each other, well that's also a source of entertainment.". Puck is still ready to punch Vaeros in the nose for all that's been done, but he's starting to wonder if he wants to bring his downfall or just get him to ease up; and Puck doesn't have an answer for that. He's also not worrying about it just yet. I'm sure that'll be totally OK.
Inital Plans: Puck has settled in, regained his flight ability, attended a council meeting, shared as much info as he felt comfortable sharing about fae and Avalon and has spent most of this month prepping for Valentine's day because it's still a thing in 1990s Manhattan. Puck has also recently wished for the rest of his magic powers back so that's something he's also looking forward to. He has a handwaved job at the library where he helps organize things.
He's still soft about humans and is at the start of his anti hero arc. He's still a fae doing fae things (he's been lying by ommission a LOT recently when answering questions about fae and his powers in general, but he'll also do tricks and other things), but he still wants to have fun with humans instead of emotionally scarring them for life. (Again unless your name is "Goliath" *finger guns*). He's also been making it a point to be seen as his human disguise, Owen, more often to build Owen's Somnius fanfic backstory of "Being in the city but keeping a low profile".
The Battle butler will continue do his job, just protecting people not named David Xanatos.
Event Plans:
Puck is right at home in chaos, so this won't be a walk in the park but he won't be struggling as much, either. He's going to be hit with the speak in rhyme effect for a bit and then just be so confused when that doesn't do anything since Puck usually just speks in rhyme when casting his transformation based spells. He's also going to game the effect by remembering Shakespeare sonnets and playing outside of an A-B-A-B rhyme scheme. He'll join one of the races that everyone wins and have fun flying in circles for the exercise. Puck has an ace up his sleeve that transforming into Owen cancels any effects Puck is under because it's technically not Puck anymore, but Puck won't be using that here. He knows enough about the canon of AIW to stay right away from the Red Queen, and has no plans to head down a rabbit hole or through a looking glass. He might help map the new maze, but right now I'm promising nothing around that! He'll be checking in with CR and making sure they're OK!

Desired CR: Everybody! People to chill and play games with, do contests with (the cheese carving is still coming if people are still interested, I've just been slow x.x). He can be grouchy but can handle some bite-back, and is generally kind to children.

Current plans: His day job is at the library stacking and sorting shelves, but he'd like to eventually open a game room there. He'll eventually use his regain points on different types of games, and ask for help collecting more. In his off time he trains for battle with a knife and will eventually try to level up his lightning magic.

Dream Event Plans: Kaiba hates all of this, thanks. He'll likely suffer some ill effects of a partial transformation, try to play chess and be frustrated by the lack of logic, and maybe run for his life during the hunt. Dream Event Plans: Written warnings are not helpful. Toph's likely going to unwittingly eat or drink something suspicious and THEN there's no going back. Invisibility would be fun, she can't see you, you can't see her, what a time!

I'll probably have her partaking in most of the events, wandering around, trying to figure out what's happening, or fighting things off if she has to. Given most of the characters are non-violent and tea is a major theme, she might actually be convinced to go to some of those parties! How bad can they be, right?

General Info: HOO BOY!! Katsuki here is a painfully mean, aggressive, rude little kreechur but secretly has a heart of gold buried deep under all the cactus spikes and explosions. He's a Hero-in-training back home, so he has a very strict set of moral values and despite his very delinquent attitude, he's quite a fucking goody-two-shoes in that he follows most rules, is extremely smart and studious (borderline genius), and doesn't dare drink or smoke or do anything that would sully his reputation and/or health because his body is his main weapon. Very hard to befriend or get on the good side of, but once you do, he's insanely loyal and will have your back in quite literally any situation and throw hands as needed. He'll also push you to be your best self, sometimes in a...somewhat insane shounen way that would kill regular ass people, but you know. :'Db

Oh, and you automatically get a dumb nickname because he's bad with names and faces of people that don't tick on his radar right away. It will probably be mean. He will not be sorry. :'Db

Housing Plans: He currently lives in a cottage aptly nicknamed the Hero House with his classmates: Uraraka, Todoroki, and Midoriya/Deku. And potentially one more, heehoo

Desired CR: Anything!! I am wildly aware that Katsuki will probably get some negative CR at the start, but he is actually trying to be better than his early canon self (who was the WORST), so avoiding like "it's on sight, motherfucker" CR would be best, since lbr...that's not necessarily fun for anyone if there's no actual growth happening. Other than that, I really think he would like more sparring partners and probably just more people to talk to in general without being overly clingy. Katsuki is an introvert at the best of times, so his social circle is kind of small, and he doesn't enjoy loud, energetic, annoying people. He's also highly competitive, so if your character is the same way, then there's potential for CR there, but...he hates losing. And will be salty as fuck, especially if you don't have established a connection (or even if you have, he has *~*issues*~* he's working through).

Initial Plans: Not too much, but I actually think Katsuki might want to actually start a Hero Agency here, once all his friends get their quirks and costumes/gear back. He currently owns the clinic, so he might convert that into something akin to an agency (like an underground secret one so the clinic still works normally because it's so gd important). Other than that, he's kind of just vibing. :U

Dream Event Plans: /RUBS MY LITTLE RACCOON HANDS TOGETHER AND CACKLES. Okay, some bullet points down below:

- Split into Twins: I mean, of course he's going to eat the food he cooked, he made that shit and it's in his house. Why would be think there's anything wrong with it, huehuehue... ANYWAY!! He will be splitting in two, with the normal teenage brat, and...a much smaller, cuter, but worse child version of himself. Yes, he will also have explosions and not have the inhibitions his older self has and thus will use them LIBERALLY when he's throwing a tantrum. You may avoid this if you bring up Heroes because he will brag about All Might anything and talk all about him because he's the BEST EVE FOREVER. Also Deku, he might bite you, just a heads up.

- Tea Party: You know what Katsuki actually likes? Tea!! He's an avid drinker of strong, black tea or a refreshing green. You know what he hates? NOT GETTING TO FUCKING DRINK IT. He will be thrust into the tea party and more or less try to ignore the guests and drink his goddamn tea, but get increasingly more and more upset when he can't even do that. Will he resort to jumping on the table and grabbing the teapot? Blowing shit up?? Probably! He might threaten the hare into becoming a rather scrumptious stew while holding a butter knife, there are so many possibilities and none of them are good!! He hates it here!!!

- Through the Looking Glass: So, Katsuki is a distrustful son of a bitch, so unless he sees someone else being an absolute dumbass and falling into a hole or getting slurped into a mirror like a boba pearl, he's not going anywhere near that shit. But if/when he DOES, he will be fighting things left and right. Most of the wild beasts of Wonderland will be easily taken care of, but the Jabberwock is another story entirely. He has swordfighting skills (thanks for that, Labyrinth exploration), but does not have a sword of magical make...or any sword, actually, so he'll be in quite a pickle and might need rescuing himself because, haha...you expect him to run?? Foolish.

Housing Plans: I totally have none! While I would love for Venat to find a happy and welcoming place to stay, there are certain issues that might have to be overcome first, such as not having one of those... for a very very long time, if ever.

Desired CR: On the left hand, people for Venat to mentor, train, mother, and guide. On the right hand, people who are going to attempt to get into HER head, since she's used to being alone, revered, or held in awe (not for reasons she likes, but there it is anyway).

Initial Plans: Venat is trying to find her place. Trying being the operative word here.

Initial Plans: TBH at some point I'll probably have him open a proper bookshop (that rarely sells books but is just a place for him to collect them).

Dream Event Plans: I'm open to ideas! Join him for a tea party or chess game? I think Fukuzawa and Aziraphale could get along well. Fukuzawa is trying to make connections, and he's quite polite (and likes tea). They could even meet at a mad tea party (lol). Also pairings of various sorts across enemy organizations is like... the norm in his canon, so he feels you on the whole Crowley thing and would be a good listener if Aziraphale ever reaches a talking about it stage (lol, long term at best I know).

General Info: Yuta is a very sad and lonely young man. Having cursed his childhood sweetheart, Rika, at a very young age, he finds himself isolated from others as he grows up, due to the Cursed Spirit of Rika being possessive and overprotective of him as well as violently jealous. He's quiet, unsure, and reserved because of this and it isn't until he's taken under Gojo's wing that he starts to show his full potential and come out of his shell!

He's an extremely powerful Jujutsu Sorcerer... He just doesn't know it yet!

Housing Plans: Yuta lives in a moderate-sized treehouse with Maki Zen'in. He doesn't have any plans on moving out anytime soon and any potential new roommates would have to go through Maki first! (He's pretty whipped by her lol)

Desired CR: Yuta is looking for friends! He missed out on so much growing up! The only people he knows now, are those from Jujutsu High. He can be a bit naive and shy so people who might want to manipulate him shouldn't find it too hard, in saying that, he has strong convictions and will fight for what he believes in.

I'm looking for positive friendly CR as well as negative! Make him feel weak, and tell him he's a bad person, I love that angst!

Initial Plans: He's looking for a job suitable for a 17-year-old! And I might have him enroll in the school as a pupil if Maki doesn't pick on him for it! He's looking for someone to help him get stronger so fighting partners would be awesome! He's also looking for help in getting his Cursed Spirit/Wife Rika back so any help with that would be great!

Dream Event Plans: Yuta is going to be eating something that partly turns him into a cute bunny, complete with long floppy fluffy ears and a soft cotton ball tail! Like a rabbit, he's going to be more nervous and a heck of a lot faster!

Levi | Attack on Titan

Canon: Attack on Titan
Character Age: 34 after his birthday in December

General Info: Levi is "Humanity's Strongest," the Survey Corps' most powerful fighter in their pursuit to save humanity from the terror of the Titans beyond the walls. His inherited power makes him stronger, faster, and deadlier than anyone (although Mikasa is close behind on his heels), and gives him heightened intuition in physical confrontations. He was born in and grew up in the underground slums beneath the capital city of Mitras and spent most of his life in poverty as a criminal in (or leading) a street gang before he and two friends were captured and effectively press-ganged into joining the Survey Corps by Erwin Smith. Levi suffers and carries a lot of loss throughout his life, but despite the constant trauma of losing people he loves and having been raised by a serial killer (true story), he is extremely empathetic and compassionate towards people as a whole - so long as you're not abusing and exploiting others. He's good at reading people and picking up on cues of other people, especially kids, who have suffered trauma as well, but he's not the best at expressing himself (hope you like shit jokes), swears a lot, doesn't mince words, etc. His face might seem stoic or annoyed, but he feels very very strongly, and if you get to know him well enough, you might learn how to pick up on it, or he'll let you see it.
Underneath it all he's a really good dude, I promise - "bad boy with a heart of gold," if you will. He likes tea and cleaning (and poetry).

As with many/most Attack on Titan characters, he can come with a little list of Content Warnings - most probably won't come up in general conversation unless someone asks the right questions, but possible subjects are parental death, sex work, exploitation, gruesome death of comrades/loved ones, torture (giving), murder, loss, child soldiers (not him), etc. It's fantasy horror, so keep that in mind.


Housing Plans: He lives in a cottage with Erwin and Hange, have two horses in a shed they're converting to a stable, and live around the corner neighbors from most of their kids other canonmates, Eren, Jean, and Mikasa.

Desired CR: I love any and all CR - I'm so happy that he's made connections with a lot of people here, especially younger characters, because he has a lot of love and support to give. THAT SAID, I think he could use more adults, or at least characters who aren't afraid to gently push at his own issues and give him some support in turn. KIDS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME.

I also live for complicated CR, even things that are a little antagonistic / negative, so long as the interactions are always interesting. I love it when characters push each other's buttons, honestly, so if you have a contentious and complicated character, let's see how they get on?? |D;

General Info: Robyn is a young girl from 17th century England who moved to Ireland with her father, a hunter who was ordered to kill wolves. Initially she wanted to hunt wolves with him, but an encounter with a strange wolf in the woods ends up with her getting bitten and becoming a Wolfwalker, a kind of werewolf whose spirit leaves their body and becomes a wolf whenever they fall asleep.

She's generally an outgoing and friendly kid, and while she's had to deal with societal pressure due to wanting to be a hunter instead of doing housework all day and the whole Wolfwalker thing, since then she's learned that being yourself and doing what's right is worth the risk.

Housing Plans: She lives in one of the cottages. I'm open to her getting housemates, though!

Desired CR: I'm open to pretty much anything! Robyn will generally get along with most people as long as they don't keep consistently antagonizing her or pushing her buttons. Friends around her own age would be great, but I'm open to her making friends with anyone older than her as well.

Initial Plans: She's still trying to decide whether or not to go to schoo, since she never had the chance to do so back home. She's also still trying to get the hang of her earth magic, since she doesn't have any of her Wolfwalker abilities back yet.

Dream Event Plans: Robyn is just cautious enough to not fall for the "Eat Me" signs, but she still has a fondness for adventures so I'll likely have her take part in the other prompts.

- I Have an Excellent Idea: Would definitely like to have Robyn attend the tea party and play games. Being from a poor family and having come from a time before tea really caught on in England, she's never actually been to a tea party before. And of course, she's always open to games.

- Only the Things Go the Other Way: I also wouldn't mind Robyn having to deal with all the mirror beasties. While she can be resourceful in getting out of trouble, she doesn't really have anything to combat the beasts right now aside from her earth magic, so if anyone wants to help her out that would be great.

RP Wishlist: Nothing solid aside from having Robyn accept who she is more now that she's in a setting where a lot of people have abilities of their own without being ostracized for it. Other than that, I'm open to just vibing.

Desired CR: Pls give anything and everything thank you. Subaru has a wide range of relationships in canon and I'd love to reflect this in game! He could definitely do with some enemies, too.

General Info: Emotionally reserved and sometimes intimidating, Fukuzawa leads the Armed Detective Agency, a group that works to protect people in grayer areas of the law than the government. He's protective of his people but also trusts them to be capable. Believe it or not, he used to be a lone wolf and assassin.

Housing Plans: Likely a cottage, so it can double as an agency of some sort, but it's not set in stone yet.

Desired CR: As someone new, Fukuzawa wants to learn the lay of the land: people who've been here a long time, people who will share info... Fukuzawa will also be looking for people of similar ideals to that of the agency—protecting the dreamers in Somnius. They may be here a while. They should protect each other. He can handle a wide range of personalities when the ideals/goals are aligned. He'd also do well to make ~adult~ friends who've lived through a lot. People who turn into cats.

Initial Plans: Fukuzawa wants to network and gain experience. Help others out to build up a network of people who feel positively inclined towards him, as well as to improve the place overall. Who needs a favor?

Dream Event Plans: Fukuzawa supposes participation might be the cost of one's wish, so he will cautiously engage with this event. He will eat various foods and deal with those consequences, interact with NPCs, and participate in some events, such as games. The illogic of it all will be frustrating, but he'll try to adapt to it.

RP Wishlist: Philosophy/worldview/ethics explorations; letting people in further; in time, entrance exams/group building; consequences of his wish (will take time to reach); people/things that keep him off balance; Poe's books showing up & people having to explore them.

Anything else: Fukuzawa loves cats and always carries sardine for them. He gets teased about thinking he can talk to cats. There is some silliness under the serious demeanor.
