At the boy's squeak, Li Lianhua's eyebrows rise in mild surprise of his own, creeping up further when he comes out with that answer. Oh well. He can't really fault the boy for that particular phobia, can he? But he can sure still have a little fun with it.

Li Lianhua huffs a disbelieving laugh. "Eh? Does the young man know of any insects more horrible and terrifying than the Karmic Fire bugs I could tell you about? Now those, you'd be right to fear." He smiles, and it's as scary as any ghost story. "Do you know why?"
