It's a good thing Jakob isn't here, or the temperature would have dropped rather quickly already, fire or not. Her butler tended to take a severe view of people who didn't treat his lady with what was considered proper respect.
And if nothing else about this place, she's glad to be rid of that formality. It's nice to hear her name without a "Lady" appended to the front of it from people other than her family. She could get used to that.
...And it's just starting to sink in that she'll definitely have to learn to get along without a butler. And two maids. And Gunter. And Silas. And Kaze. All the various servants and retainers sworn into her service.
Huh.

Seriously, Kate looks like she stepped out of one of the swashbuckling stories Corrin used to take from the library in the Northern Fortress to read.
"Oh, sorry. A Deeprealm is what we call a reality close to our own, and connected by mystic gateways. Like a different reality, but quite a bit...smaller." She explains, realizing that "Deeprealm" probably isn't the universal terminology. She'll have to remember that. "But mostly they're a lot like where I'm from. This is something else entirely."
A theory, though? Corrin leans forward, resting her hands on her knees in curiosity. "Do you mind trying to explain it to me?" She asks. "Maybe I can help you with testing it."
