Scars are scars - all Heroes get them during their time as Heroes - but no one scar or wound is "prettier" than another just because of the story it tells. It's a reminder to be smarter, faster, stronger...better. He has a long ways to go and they were all so obscenely obliterated by Shigaraki and the League that he has no damn joy over being beat up like this. They lost. He lost. Nearly his life, in fact, and Katsuki still doesn't know who is a casualty or not back home. Who's coming home and who he's going to attend a funeral for. These wounds, and the scars they will become, are his weakness - bared clearly on his skin.
