Caleb took a moment to let his hair down, copper tresses falling loose, just past his shoulders by this point. That done, he ducked himself under the water entirely, emerging to smooth his hair back out of his face. Much cooler. He was clearly happy with being in the waves for the moment, a temporary but welcome respite from the scorching heat.

Not for the first time, he silently grumped about not having access to his magic, because his Tower was always the perfect temperature. Grumping wouldn't do any actual good of course, and it was short lived anyway when Essek spoke again.

"I agree. Now is exactly that time. I would feel more reassured working together, certainly."

A pause and he lifted an eyebrow. "Even if you are clearly wrong about the quality of that joke. It was very good. I seem to remember you laughing."
