Essek didn't know why those words hit the way they did but they left him feeling warm and he thanked the ocean underneath that it served as a cooling agent. The potion that he had consumed also left him feeling cool in which case he was actually comfortable right now and because of that comfort, his eyes were able to drift back to Caleb, so that he could look appreciatively on the cat wizard even as he took Caleb's advice and just kept moving though he did not go further then perhaps it was wise to.
Mid torso seemed to be around his speed, it appeared. He was not going to play the fates by delving any further.

"I would like to discuss the complete absence of magic with you. I think that it would be beneficial to join forces in this so as to figure out the most expedient way to get our spells back. I remember you once told a terrible joke in the Room of Possibility, about what do you call a group of wizards in the same room.. and that is trouble."
