Oh yes. Its amazing how many incidents can happen just because things aren't properly clean. And sure, sometimes an accident can lead to a discovery, but at that point, its fate taking the wheel anyway. [He shrugs.]

Plumbing is also good for technology. I'm sure you've seen overheating cause problems beyond just the steam build up. The two biggest hurdles for any good energy source is the potential environmental cost and heat management and water helps a lot with the latter.
