Well, a child is a child, and adult is an adult, and an elder is an elder. For example, I am considered a young adult in my species, but I nearly twice surpassed the average lifespan for a human.

The sum of my years does not change that I am only barely considered an adult. My guardian is here as well, and while his species of Fae live to an age that is but a fraction of mine own, he is still an elder...
