An unusual state of affairs, in my experience. Particularly as developing the means to use that energy must require sufficient understanding of it, I would expect at least some dedicated formal inquiry within the underlying scholastic fields... let alone those who find merit in study and learning for its own sake, of whom I have never known mankind to be short of.
