Welcome to the game, newbies! To our current dreamer crew, glad you're still with us! This post will act as an OOC intro for new players and a CR meme for everyone. Below you will see the CR meme form as well as a Event Outline for our current TDM. There will be a "Sleepr" post later this month, this coming weekend infact! Low stakes fun CR building. Look forward to it! We will have an updated quest post going live later this month also.

Garden of Dreams

• dreamers are brought to the enchanted garden
• two flowers, Corpse Flowers and Gibralter Campions are causing amorous feelings and intense feelings of hatred.
• Outside of the garden, newly arrived Dreamers are guided to the town of Somnius, from there they can choose to settle in the unfriendly hamlet or choose to explore further, beyond the portal and into the land of Lumindeas.

Something... A little Romantical

• Dolph Laserhawk is hosting a speed-dating event at Club Quartz
• Those seeking romantic OR platonic connection are encouraged to attend
• Even those who would not normally be interested feel a magical compulsion to attend & an overwhelming craving for connection with others
• Guests may find that their informational placards are already magically filled out for them
• There are a list of questions to potentially discuss, some of which were not put there intentionally by Dolph
• Those who feel a connection are encouraged to participate in mini-games (spoon passing, hide & seek, charades, jump rope, three-legged race)

Nicefield's Nest

• A strange settlement has appeared at the edge of Stellari, with buildings that resemble both those of Lumindeas and Visium
• Beings that resemble rabbits, called Loporrits, emerge from the building
• They are obsessed with helping and want Dreamers to help each other too
• Dreamers are asked to poll fellow Dreamers about their satisfaction surrounding the world and report back to Pollingway and Surveyingway (Loporrit npcs)
• The Loporrits are building a help center, but the Lumindeas government is not necessarily reacting well
• Dreamers are asked to go complete good deeds for others while the help center is being built
• Dreamers are asked to try various Loporrits businesses and help advertise to spread the word
• The Loporrits are very persistent and doing as they ask is the only way to get them to leave you alone

Cleaning Efforts & Haywire Powers

• A revitalization effort is taking place in Visium
• Mytra is providing materials to help smash up the crystal in Visium, and is encouraging the use of destructive power if necessary
• Seravo is asking for samples of food, water, soil - anything - from Visium to study the phenomenon occurring there
• only while within visium, Dreamers' abilities are going haywire
• abilities are behaving strangely - engaging at random times, diminished or increased effects, inability to control, etc.
• Dreamers are also experiencing random gold/blue/red potion abilities even if they have never drunk a potion - random bursts of elemental magic, random animal transformation, random healing abilities, etc.
• Dreamers are also sharing abilities; standing too close to a Dreamer with an ability will cause the other Dreamer to start displaying aspects of that ability (diminished from their full power) for a short time

Suspicious Message

• Some receive a suspicious message on their phone from an unknown user (this is opt-in; if you wish to opt-out, simply assume your character didn't receive the message)
• Dreamers feel compelled to respond truthfully to the message, but once they do, the result is publicly posted for others to see/respond to
• "If you were to suddenly feel someone's hand in your own, whose hand would it be? But whose hand would you want it to be?"

Takuto Maruki | Persona 5 Royal

Canon: Persona 5 Royal
Character Age: 35
General Info: Non-spoilery: Maruki is a former cognitive psience (P5R psychobabble for the study of how we perceive things and how our perceptions shape reality) researcher turned high school counselor. He's a very kind, generous, altruistic man who wears his heart on his sleeve and will bend over backwards to help anyone with anything. A little sardonic at times, a LOT incurably nerdy all the time. Has a preternatural way of setting people at ease and getting them to open up. All around good dude.

In canon, Maruki's quest to heal everyone of their emotional pains and traumas leads him to quite literally rewriting all of reality to remove any instance of pain or suffering from the world. If you think this sounds like loss of free will and brainwashing... you are correct! The Royal part of Persona 5 Royal is all about the Phantom Thieves trying to take Maruki down and restore the true reality.

The thing is that Maruki's intentions for this are never anything but altruistic. He truly believes that people are better off having never suffered, and will throw away everything in his life to make it so. Even in the bad end of the game where the ideal reality takes over and everyone lives out their perfect, pain-free lives, it doesn't apply to him. Everyone he knew has forgotten him, and he has to live alone as the sole keeper of the memories of their prior reality until he dies(??? unclear if he can die at that point lol he's kind of god)

SO YEAH. Sympathetic antagonist of all time! Complicated dude! However, his original canonpoint in game didn't include any of the spoilery bits above, and he's since regained bits and pieces of that through the altered memories event in August, so he's a weird mix atm.

TLDR: Your existence in this world is an amazing miracle.

Desired CR: Maruki has a super solid established core of close CR and has branched out into some new CR via January's Sleepr & the February hanahaki event, so I'm looking to continue doing that! Honestly, he bounces well off pretty much everyone because he is such a "let's talk about YOU" guy – the trick is getting him to actually talk about himself, good luck. :3c He's also even more difficult to put off than before because..... uh well look at who he hangs out with here lmao SO YES I'M DOWN FOR ANY AND ALL NEW CR!! If you've been waiting to get Muki'd, let's do it.

Oh, I do have a special place in my heart for CR in-laws! If you play someone who has ties to his existing close CR (pretty much anyone here) and we don't have CR, I would love to get some started hehe :3c

Monthly Plans: I have two top levels up currently: TDM speed dating & network prompt and one for general shenanigans on Eren's farm!! Feel free to hit up either, I am always down.

I'll go hard on Sleepr as always! And finally, I'm going to be posting a dinner mingle log for Maruki's close CR on 3/22. It's technically for his birthday, but that fact is not advertised nor widely known and I'm not really interested in that changing hdfdslkj I just want to put together a lil mingle to throw his insane circle of CR into the same room, so if that applies to you, I hope you have fun with it when it comes!! :3c

Charlie Dalton | Dead Poets Society

Canon: Dead Poets Society
Character Age: 17
General Info: Local teenage boy from the 1950s, straight out of a classic inspirational teacher coming of age movie that you probably watched in an English class yonks ago. Charlie is the very definition of Just A Guy - no special powers to speak of, no real fighting ability aside from being able to throw a decent punch and take Excessive 1950s All Boys Boarding School Corporal Punishment. Rebel with a cause, sarcastic troublemaker class clown, rich bitch, artist at heart.

Desired CR: Charlie is in desperate need of better authority figures. :')) A lifetime under the thumb of his father and uptight school administration have left him wary of adults, but he has his first experience with a teacher who actually cares about him in the film, and it's something he absolutely craves more of. I'd love older character CR for that reason, but also - hello fellow teens, how do you do! He ran with a large group of boys back in his world, and while he does have his best friend here with him, he's the type to try to recreate that experience of growing up around a hundred other teenagers.

Monthly Plans: stares at how busy things are with Maruki lmao I DON'T HAVE PLANS FOR CHARLIE REALLY. I'm still wrapping up some major hanahaki threads and have held off on doing big stuff til they're done! However, I'll definitely be putting him up on Sleepr :3c
