You're not the first person to say something to that effect. I'm sure that for many, their wish can only be granted by being removed from their true realities.

In general, though, I'd say it's best to live without regrets as much as you can. A wish only has as much power over you as you allow it. It's better to work to change what your heart wishes for than to live with regret.
