I've kept notes on everyone I've met and everything I've experienced since I first arrived. It's second nature, as both a researcher and a counselor, to have that written record. And, to your point... it's helpful on a personal level, too.

That being said... I've never written about Rumi in that way. It would be very difficult, yes. But if I were having this conversation with someone else, I would gently try to get them to see that any difficulty or pain would be worth it. Is that what you would tell me?
