The Doctor slowly strokes his five o clock shadow on his neck because he still hasn't looked everywhere. He doesn't like the fact that the Tardis may not be here, nor Donna. The both of them is separation anxiety and The Doctor isn't telepathic therefore he can't feel The Tardis.
