Adam’s glad that she’s at least getting the spiders off of him (though, more keep coming), but did she have to be so happy about it?

“Oh good, they’re friendly spiders.” He says, voice on the verge of breaking.

She soon moves onto discussing the animals, which, with the explosion of the cat still fresh in his mind, he’s not too keen on exploring.

“I don’t know - why don’t you find out?”

He dearly hopes the sarcasm comes across.
